If you want the local flavour in your cuisine and you are a vegetarian, then Taste of Spiti is the restaurant for you. You will not be dissappointed. The burgers and sandwiches are made of local bread. Himalayan burger is my favourite. Local spitian pasta...is a must try.The staff is friendly and the food is cooked fresh as per your likes. A MUST VISIT😊More

It is one of the best options for vegetarian food in kaza. It has a very well curated menu and a variety of local food available. Make sure to try their spiti thali and Nutella momos.

We stopped by this place since Sol Cafe was closed. This one is also run by Spiti Ecosphere. You can buy lot of souvenirs from here and the proceeds to go the betterment of the local community. I bought 1 t-shirt and couple of postcards....You can also buy their seabuckthorn crush and jams. We didn't get a chance to try their food since we were already full :)More

I've been to Taste of Spiti many times and I just love the ambience of this place. I have tried a variety of food there and have always loved the taste. Try visiting the place in the evening for the dinner and you'll enjoy being...there. Say my "Hi" to Nimma, Udey, Norbo, Ishita and all others and yeah, you'll love to meet Zikki & Nono the cute dogs of kaza there.More

Visited Taste of spiti after visiting sol cafe the previous day. Both are run by spiti ecosphere an social enterprise, restaurant is run by volunteers, I ordered hummus with pita bread but had to wait for almost 30 mins, I think the volunteer was just...too casual, forgot to place my order or didn't bother much or something else I don't know. Wanted to order something else but ingredients weren't available with them. The place is nice, liked the ambience, got to know about the miracle berry Seabuckthorn ! The overall menu looked a bit pricey but the food was good. Hope to revisit and have a better experience next time.More

During our (5 adults +1 kid) recent road trip to SPITI VALLEY, on 19th June 2018 we reached Kaza around 14:00 pm and somehow (while searching for our hotel) found ourselves in front of a nice looking restaurant i.e. "Taste of Spiti". Everybody was hungry...and we decided to first have our lunch before moving to hotel. We ordered our food, were informed that it will take some time. We had been waiting patiently. Almost after 50 minutes, somebody came to inform that 2 of our ordered dishes wouldn't be possible as ingredients are finished. This was also, when we asked. Anyhow after waiting for 1hr 45 minutes, we got our food - which was raw, tasteless and not eatable (except one dish spizza). Bad food, poor service and very high price are three features of this place. If you are thinking , it was just with us. Not really, while waiting we were observing other tables and heard one customer saying "ohh, I had forgot about my order". Please avoid, if you can.More

Taste of Spiti is one of the many gems of Kaza and it holds a special place for me because it is always bustling with lots of love and positive energy. The team of spiti ecosphere, who run this place, had so many huddles each...evening that I was almost envious 😁, but their hard work and passion to make a positive impact in the valley is ever palpable. The vibes will definitely get you too. Coming to the cafe itself, the food you get here is unique, tasty, healthy and stuff you don't get elsewhere. Their black pea creations, be it the hummus, salad or burger and the seabuckthorn concoctions ie the tea, juice and jam were not just delicious but also support local producers. The barley pancake with seabuckthorn jam is the best breakfast I've had in a while. And you can have wonderful conversations with many interesting people. What I love most about them is that they don't serve bottled mineral water, instead you can fill your bottles with their filtered water. If you are in kaza, make a point of visiting Taste of Spiti for the warmth, positivity and of course, the food!More
