We've been here many times over the years and keep coming back. Excellent food. Great value and great home made baking. You can sit inside or out and there is always something to watch in the bay. Standard menu is on the table but staff are equally happy to bring you freshly made toasties. Local artists display their work on... More

We were made to feel very welcome as we entered the coffee shop and shown to a table at the far end.....the view out to sea was absolutely stunning. We had tomato and balsamic soup which came with a good sized piece of homemade bread....delicious....followed by two tray bakes.....both to die for and excellent coffee and tea. We are just... More

This settlement might be sought of as being in something of the middle of nowhere. It is several miles along a very twisty and single-lane road. But it is a beautiful spot and this local coffee shop is one of few places to purchase any refreshment. They have very nice home-made cakes. However, be warned that the coffee shop has... More

Thanks for your review, we love our wee village. I would however like to take this opportunity to clarify our opening hours. We are now on winter hours and are as follows. Open 10-3 Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I think what you saw was the village shop hours which indeed closes between 1pm and 3.30pm. Our summer hours restarts... More

From the roadside the building housing the village shop and the coffee shop is grey metal and utilitarian. This belies the warm welcome, fantastic views and great menu! The coffee shop is behind the shop with wonderful views across the loch. We sat there on a warm sunny afternoon watching a Scottish wedding taking place outside across the bay from... More

After a three hour journey what better than a bacon roll and a cup of tea to set you up for the rest of the day: and it did. There is a great view over the loch, to complement the food. The staff were friendly and efficient.

My husband and I went for lunch in the summer and I have to say I wasn't impressed. The menu is very small so you would think what is on it is perfect. But this was sadly not the case. The salad they claim as their own is a mix of different types of salads thrown together that do not... More

We treated ourselves to breakfast during our two day visit to Tayvallich. This place is an absolute delight, from Rosie and her friendly young staff, to the food and the view. On a warm day you can sit outside under shelter if there's a bit of drizzle (blankets provided) or right next to the loch if the weather is kind.... More
