Everything we ordered were finger licking good, in fact we literally did lick our fingers. We ordered the masala fried fish, tawa prawns and the seafood fried rice. The rates are a little on the higher side. It's only the ambience and the rates that do not match, but otherwise the food is too good and so you wouldn't mind... More

I walked past this restaurant twice on two different knight and it looked like it was full of people and it looked like a place where people hung out. This was not the case when i ate there! Me and my friend decided to eat lunch there and the food was horrible! My toast was over toasted and burned and... More

I will admit we thoroughly enjoyed our meal which consisted of incredibly large prawns and lobster. It was very spicy as requested and the service was friendly. Everything was satisfactory until the bill arrived. The meal was priced as if we had dined in a 5 star restaurant back in the states. Beware of this restaurant, They gouge tourists.

Just across from the original Moonrakers is the Moonrocks, that claims to be a "unit of Moonrakers". Whether this is really true or not I can't say. Perhaps the Moonrakers is great, but their "unit" across Othavadai Street served us the worst food we have had on our trip to India. The fruit in the fruit salad was so badly... More

I would not recommend this place to people who believe in cleanliness or who eat vegetarian food. From our table we could see the kitchen and the cleaning area and were not at all impressed by the way they were maintained. Go for this place, only for the sea food dishes that it offers. Another suggestion, would be to sit... More

We were taken to this 'famous' seafood restaurant by our guide, who, along with our driver, joined us for lunch. The reviews we read were good so we agreed to stay even though the toilet was filthy and disgusting , as was the sink which also had mouse droppings in it!!! We had to walk through the 'kitchen ' area... More

I was recommended by an acquaintance to visit this place. We were presented with a menu and also offered a choice of giant Tiger Prawns and/or large Snapper that had be caught that morning. Perfect I thought and chose three prawns and my acquaintance chose a Snapper we both chose the chilli versions. It went downhill from there. We waited... More

If you want to try the shack sort of restaurant , moonrackers is the place. It's a place that specialises in seafood which is fresh out of the water. It's all displayed,so you can choose the seafood and flavours you want it cooked in. Personalised to the top... Although they have meats, I would recommend the seafood.. they have rice,... More
