Arrived here for lunch on a Saturday. Greeted well and led on the walk out to the dining area. On sunny days, it is not possible to sit on the main terrace, but an open but covered area is available. Several tables were taken, even with the post-COVID quiet season. We selected Poo Nim Pad Poo Kurrie (Softshell crab in curry sauce), stir-fried Morning Glory and fried rice with egg. The softshell crab did not look visually appealing, especially compared to what I thought was one of the great ones, at Cabbages and Condoms restaurant, but when I tasted it, I was blown away. The best soft shell crab I have had in more than twelve years in Thailand. Well done Ruantalay, great job. The rest of the food was good, service was OK and I found this place a little more expensive than others, especially Preecha restaurant, where we ate the night before. But, great spot to look out at the sea and great food, I will be back.

The restaurant is located on the sea and is a great place to it. There is a great variety of seafood available that is greatly cooked.

Location is good and the outside area has a nice relaxing feel . Service is awful and so is the food . We ordered the crab legs which is a regular dish in these seaside pier restaurants . They were far from fresh and did not have any sweetness or flakey meat. Waitress said they were fresh today but they were not. The whole fish was also not fresh and well over cooked . Other dishes were equally poor ... 3 dishes came before the rice appeared and we went to galvanise the staff into action to serve the rice . We were offered 10% off for the dodgy crab legs . Such a shame as it should be so good . I now now why none of my friends ever go there . We will go back to preecha next time which is reliable...

We ordered a bottle of wine, a beer and FOUR items.....a fish and prawn dish both with rice. The wine and beer came.......all’s well so far....... The prawns arrived 20mins in.........no rice.......20mins later and still no rice! I told my husband to just start eating it but, there was no tissue on the table and it would have been messy as it was in a sauce and needed the heads removing. He took it back and asked for it to be warmed up ........ 10 mins later.....2 portions of rice were plonked on the table........no sign of his warmed up prawns and no sign of my dish! This was Valentine’s evening !! I told my husband to pay for the beer and we were leaving, we had to also pay for the wine! This has to be the WORST SERVICE we have ever received in a restaurant in Thailand!!

Although have to walk a distance to the seaside dining area, several interesting exhibits greet one on the way. Servers are very attentive. Arguably one of the best locations for a memorable colorful sunset reflected on the shimmering water.

We visit Pattaya very often and have tried to visit different restaurants each time. Yesterday we chose Ruantalay for dinner and we arrived there before sunset. The view is very good and we really enjoyed the atmosphere there. For the food, the taste is average. We like the natural taste of seafood so we ordered steamed shrimp, steamed crab coxa and steamed mussels. Unfortunately, it seemed that they were steamed too long so shrimp and crab were too dry and not sweet at all. However, for seasoned dishes, they are quite good.

Our favourite Restaurant in Thailand. We have been there many times travelling from near Chonburi to dine there. The food is excellent and served by very friendly, helpfull staff. To sit outside enjoying great food as the sun goes down and night falls is heaven. Definitely our first choice.

When we stay in Bangsaray we like to go to all of the different restaurants. We have been here 3 times now its in the town as opposed to the beach road parking is not a problem as it has a large car park across the road. As you walk the 60 meters to the restaurant you walk past the tanks holding the live fish and sea food. Once in the pier is large and has inside or outside seating as per your request. We had the steam fish which was done very well.

Back again for a late lunch. Brought a Thai friend who loves seafood and who is very fussy. The meal met his and mine expectations. As ever the food was of the highest standard. Fresh, tasty and varied. Had a grill, curried crab eggs, oysters, prawns etc. The views are wonderful and there was a lovely cool breeze coming off the sea. Friendly and attentive service.

What a wonderful restaurant this is. Open air and set at the end of a long jetty, it literally sits out over the sea. As far as we could tell it's also not that well known to the tourists, probably because it's a little far away from Pattaya/Jomtien for most visitors to make the trip, but it's worth it if you can. Genuine local seafood dishes which all seemed very fresh, and great service for a very reasonable price. The night we were there we had the place almost to ourselves, and sat on late drinking and talking, but there was no indication from the staff that they wanted us to go. They waited patiently until we were ready and then closed up behind us. I would strongly recommend this place for a long lazy lunch or dinner of fresh local seafood.

We went there a bit after lunch time and we really enjoyed a quiet lunch by the sea. The view is soothing jetting out to the ocean. The steamed fish is the best, it is just steamed perfectly, not overcooked. Other places cook fish for too long, making it tough. However, the soft shell crab curry is a bit of a disappointment - a lack of texture and taste.

After reading the good feedback of this restaurant we decided to have diner here. The restaurant is charming but the food was very disappointing. The fried rice was tasteless, nam prik pla teu was very sour and the chef used lemon juice instead of fresh lemons and the shrimp salat was very salt. Myanmar chef?

I have been to this restaurant many times and it has never let me down. Exquisite seafood, great service and wonderful views. The menu is varied (but seafood) and the cooking is fresh and full of flavour. I had never experienced seafood like it until I visited here. Been many times and coming back soon!
