Lovely location, and a fun seating plan, but the service was slow and unreliable, the food was not as expected.

We went to this place on recommendation of a hotel employee, the food was good, however the service was slow. We went there twice and on both occasions forgot something from our order. Drinks are cheap and food was good.

This hostel is very nice. The dorms are cheap and the place in general is soothing. The staff is friendly and the food is good. This was my second stay and i would go back anytime! I recommend this place if you want to take it easy, sit back and relax!

Went there for a lunch on a Monday when the place wasn't busy at all. Had to wait 45 minutes for a dish that is premade. I even had to go after 10 minutes and remind the waitress to bring our drinks. I asked twice about our meal but nobody ever returned to tell us what was happening. I had... More

I recommend this place if you wanna have some quality and have some extra bucks. Place is really nice, clean and has effective workers. A room for two o three people is around $27. Dorms are cheap too. Place is new and clean. I was afraid about the comment about bead bugs but I saw nothing. It's one of the... More

I ate here three times in my 2 1/2 day stay in Las Peñitas. Had the Nicaraguan breakfast twice and drinks and dessert once. It's clean and more well cared for than some of the nearby restaurants. Good was good, service was friendly, views were nice

Barca de Oro was fun because We Stayed in the bungalows which seemed pretty authentic and adventurous. Pretty clean, Nice staff and good food but not Much to do in las penitas, 2 days is enough for sure ! Do horse back riding on beach for 15 dollars it's unforgettable !!!!!

Poor service, mediocre food, would not recommend at all. Everything we ordered was clearly not as good as when ordered in any other place we tried in Nicaragua (3 weeks Nort to South) and not even cheap either. Plenty of better options in Las penitas!

Our group of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) had lunch here before meeting entering the estuary for a boat tour. It's very convenient for that. The restaurant is part of a hotel. The menu is extensive, so I hope they have good refrigeration. The service was good, but it was not too crowded when we visited. The price is... More

Each time we have been to this restaurant, there have been quite a few people here. We didn't have an entire meal - just a snack and drinks but it was very pleasant. I can say that the food that others were having delivered to them looked wonderful! We just weren't hungry when we stopped there. Oh, and the service.....VERY... More
