Its been about 4 weeks since i visited this restaurant. They have some of the very authentic dishes like the Paitala Lamb chops,Bhalla papdi chat, seafood moilee, Lamb rogan josh, and they have some of the fabulous Nan's. Though the service is a bit slow, but they do not rush you through the food. I would give them a 5 star... More

i took advantage of a special xmas takeaway offer. Very generous portions with loads of meat, rice was perfect and Keema nan was stuffed full with minced lamb. Will definately go back.

Zero stars if I could. They just don't care about your experience & r incredibly rude. Terrible value for money. Don't go there!

Not sure what to make of this place. Food nice, strange set up. Over bearing older gentleman, would not let the younger man do anything. No atmosphere. Expensive for what it was.

Really not sure what to say about our meal last night. It felt like a really strange atmosphere, a bit like a takeaway with tables. The starters were fairly good, the seekh kebab was very large for a starter. The chicken was dry and overcooked in both our mains, (meaning we both left half our meal) though the sauces and... More

Staying down the road fancied some veg food and Bombay Mela came up in search. Having lived in India 6 years I can honestly say this is the best Indian food outside of the Desi. You must go. Very unassuming staff and unexpected deliciousness. Indian chefs, authentic......mmmmm :)

This is one of the best Indians in the area from the point of view of food. There are options on the menu you don’t find anywhere else, for example, rabbit and lamb shank curries and chicken chettinad, among others, and you can see the staff cooking, as the kitchen is sort of open plan into the dining area. They... More

Dined in the evening with 3 family members. After a pleasant welcome, drinks and papadum arrived quickly while we chose our starters and mains. The food was fresh and well-presented. We made a specific request about the preparation of one dish and the chef got it spot on. Great place to eat.

With its bright modern decor and a charming patio garden Mela has fast become a regular for discerning locals who appreciate the true taste of Mela's regional Indian food. A large car park on the doorstep makes it very convenient too. Our tasty menu is available for takeout. We can also prepare wraps and finger food for business lunches and private parties.
Good service is a high priority at Mela where you'll be greeted warmly and treated like a VIP throughout your visit. From the foothills of the Himalayas to the warm seas of the coast, Mela reflects the hugely varied and inspiring cuisine of India, opening minds and stomachs to more than your usual tikka masala. Colourful, robust in flavour and evocative of the subcontinent, every dish is prepared with care and great attention to detail.
