Our dinner here went pretty much as expected. We had met friends at Lone Star for a sundowner and popped into Cafe Taboras for an early meal on the way back to our apartment. Staff here are friendly and efficient and there is a wide choice on the menu. I chose the chicken curry and my husband the Thai prawn... More

We tried the hotel for breakfast today..... service is good as you would expect however the prices are crazy..... $40 for an omlette and a latte is $16. The restaurant / hotel is predominantly full of adults over 50 years of age.

Was staying at Fairmont for a week. Had breakfasts here and 3 dinners. Good food at breakfast with a good choice, and happy smiling faces of the staff. Dinners also good, with a good selection well cooked and presented. Lovely beachside venue. When we were there food arrived in a timely manner. Good wine list, and always a helpful recommendation... This is the cafe restaurant of the 5 star Fairmont Royal hotel which also serves breakfast. While the breakfast is ok if not wonderful the cafe menu is small unimaginative with standard US fare - the inevitable burger or caesar salad. And it's not even good. Most disappointed and it wasn't cheap either.

Had the Sunday buffet brunch which was superb, unbelievably bad service, no water poured, had to serve ourselves in the end! Over an hours wait for kids food. Buffet plates not cleared. No drinks offered. No running water in the toilets closest and not closed down so facilities had been used!!!!!! Spoke to Hotel Manager who apologised. In the end... More

Were at the Fairmont for a week, had nothing but beautiful dinners here. Especially an authentic national dish of salt fish cakes, pumpkin fritters, flying fish, cou cou and rum cake. The serving staff (incl. Jenelle) painstakingly too us how it was made, at the restaurant but not importantly at home. A memorable dinner we will never forget.

The Cafe Taboras is part of the prestigious Fairmont Hotel. Breakfast there is fine with friendly service and a good selection. Other times it was variable in terms of what was on the plate. Although we enjoyed the Fairmont, this place would perhaps point us to returning to the likes of Cobblers Cove

Weather staying at the Royal Pavilion or not Cafe Taboras is a great front line restaurant right on the beach on West Coast - good breakfast and fantastic Sunday BBQ with plenty of fish, steaks, great ribs and chicken with Carabean (hot!) sauces with plenty of Salad to compliment...........

I love breakfast here the setting is lovely. The buffet has something for everyone. Everyone seems happy while sitting sipping coffee watching the sea roll in.
