Popped up to Saturnia for our biannual visit and decided to try this place for lunch. It was our first try of this restaurant. It was busy and we were lucky to get a table. Atmosphere was welcoming and very Tuscan. Menu was very local and good for all that. We both had the traditional, local roast pork dish and... More

Il Melangolo is right in the center of Saturnia and is an amazing spot to have dinner at. The food was fantastic and it was in a very nice and relaxed setting. Some great bottles of wine available at a very reasonable price and the food is a little pricey for the area, but well worth it. Had the Wild... More

We had a lovely pizza there, the ambiance was genuine, service was perfect and it was inexpensive. Great value for pizza in town.

Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating and tasty food. A real ocals restaurant but plenty for the visitor, we used it twice in 5 days for lunch.

I've dined all over the world and never have I had to send two of my three dishes back. The porcini pasta tasted as if the mushrooms came out of a can and the duck breast was so over cooked that I couldn't even cut it with a knife. When we explained this to the staff we were told it... More

The antipastis here are great and very well presented in two or three pieces. As we were a large group we ordered a great variety and shared among ourselves. From the capriccio to the fried cheese and toast to the polenta, we were won over. However, the second dishes were not that great. The ravioli with ricotta cheese was too... More

A friend of us suggested this restaurant, and it was a good advice! The place was warm, cosy and well-furnished, even if very small. It was very difficult to chose what to eat from the very gourmet menu. Prices were fair both from quality and from quantity viewpoint. Pici, lamb cutlets, wild vegetable were wonderful as well as local wine!

Sadly after some absolutely brilliant food experience in Saturnia this one was not so great. Some language issues with ordering led to mix ups which deteriorated the service. Two of the 6 dishes we ordered were good however the others were extremely disappointing. A fillet steak that was ordered medium came so over-cooked it was inedible. That said, the evening... More
