Always worth a visit every time I am around. Great pizzas, but also so much more of the local and regional food. Not to forget the wine (Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Passerina, Pecorino) and the many cheeses.

We wanted to have a little lunch with a group of Italian families after a visit of Tortoreto alto. There was fruit on menu: ananas & melone (2 a 3 euro). We ordered two little plates of a mix of ananas/ melone together with pizza, etc. The food was ok (below average) and service was also not fantastic. But at... More

Very nice location, with a wonderful view fro the top of the hills. The pasta is hand made and the meat is also very good. Wine are also well assorted (I recommend Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva).

Tourists come from afar and climb the steep hill to eat here. Pizzas (in many versions and sizes) but also the entire menu is very good. Better to reserve because the place fills up around 8.30 EVERY night. Then you can have your dessert in the nearby spectacular ice cream place

Unassuming from the street side, we found the most stunning views over the surrounding countryside once inside. It quickly became apparent that our table in the window was far too hot from the sun, but we were swiftly moved to another table by our friendly waiter. We ordered the olives all'ascolana (stuffed and deep fried) and melon with Prosciutto, followed... More

I must say I was a bit dissapointed. We went here twice, the first time the pizzas were ok but the the mussels they served were undercooked, on our second try the food was good but still it was too expensive.

The place is very nice specially at night in winter with the fireplace burning. We ate 2 average dishes of pasta and a small but good lamb Grigliata along with a normal bottle of wine and we paid nearly 60 EUR, in my opinion too much for the type of restaurant and what we ate. Next time I will try... More
