Special care taken to make every visit special. It's rare to be in a restaurant where every table is raving about their food. The service is efficient and charming plus knowledgeable. I started with arancini balls and the most delicious spicy aioli. Followed by the perfect portion of melanzane...I didn't need dessert but spoilt myself with yummy cream, caramel treat... More

We were a big group who booked dinner and after a 15km walk up the mountain everyone was ravenous. We were delighted to find this restaurant with a unique opera "story". Were welcomed by the theatrical manager - Graham - who made some excellent suggestions for wine. We had Italian friends with us and they loved the starter Risotto Balls.... More

Went for Sunday lunch with a close friend and sat at the back stoep and felt right in the amazing garden! MOST amazing Melanzane bake. Good service, great ambiance with the birds, garden and lovely background music. Pity it was closed today. Could have spent an entire day in that stoep, guzzling cappuchinos, croissants and cake. Those comfy couches are... More

Really, really great food & service. We were welcomed, and kind of hosted really, by the Restaurant Manager who was extremely enthusiastic about his job, the restaurant, the Tremelos retreat of which the restaurant is a separate part. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

We had dinner on the patio overlooking the Tremenos retreat garden. Beautiful setting and fabulous food to match. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

Around lunchtime, in Mcgregor we had no idea where to go. Almost at the end of the small village we find this nice restaurant. Got a table at the garden and had a nice fish lunch. Service was good.

Even though we didn't have a booking, they were happy to accommodate us with a table on the garden terrace. Imagine perfectly manicured hedges with scented gardens, soft golden lighting all around you and the call of peacocks as the sunlight fades- one can almost forget you are in a dusty, farming town that time forgot. The menu options; although... More

Tebaldi restaurant in Tremenos retreat. Beautiful gardens, beautiful fresh food in magnificent setting. Sat outside on the veranda, had a divine salad and the pesto chicken dish, washed down with McGregor wine, perfect lunch. Would like to go back in winter as the interior of the restaurant is warm inviting makes you think of comfort food and a warm fires.

I have reviewed this before last year but they have now moved to a new and larger premises and the quality has gone up appropriately. Fantastic place for breakfast and dinner on a Monday evening
