I have been here before but maybe around 23 years ago... It's still good even if it was better then. But it always happens with places which get touristic, unfortunately. Some dishes was very small. The grilled octapus came on a very small plate and was only enough as a starter for 1-2 persons. The grilled fresh swordfish was excellent though... More

Fish is fresh and service good, but many other places have the same assets in the area and everything must be weighted in comparison with alternatives. And after two weeks in different islands, I can say this restaurant is surely overpriced (compared to the greek standard, of course). What stands out is the location: very romantic.

Day trip from Fila south to Akrotiri, cost Euro 2 by bus and took about 30 minutes. Go to the very end (where the bus terminates on the beach) and then catch a boat taxi on the right hand side by the beach restaurants. They will either drop your off and pick you up from each of the red, black... More

Dinner by the sea, the waves at your sides, absolute quiet, smiling faces around you, simple traditional greek cusine made of basic ingredients and fresh fish. Skordalia, tomatokeftedes, grilled octopus in oil and vinegar that melts in your mouth, tender and perfectly grilled fish, and the gift by the end of greek yogurt with grapes homemade marmelade. You can add... More

This was an authentic taverna set right on the water. The appetizers and salads were the best part of the meal. Disappointed that my fish wasn't fileted for me but it wasn't a "deal breaker."

Very ordinary, and we are usually not very hard to please diners. The fish wasn't very fresh though claimed to be caught today. Our starter of grilled octopus was inedible - the flavour was so strong and 'fishy', not clean tasting like good seafood is - and my husband thought his lobster pasta (the speciality) was ok but I wouldn't... Delicious food, beautiful location, exellent service - my favourite fish tavern in Santorini! And the locals love it too.

This is my 4th time in Santorini and I never miss a chance to eat at the Dolphins Taverna. A great family owned and run taverna with fresh local fish and lobster every day. And the family are a delight as well. A previous reviewer noted some 'racist' behaviour but I have not witnessed this, although their sense of humour... More
