Very nice place with nice gardens and view to the sea. We ate calamari, octopus, mussels, fish and big shrimps. All were super!! Also very tasty mushrooms for starter. Friendly staff and well prepared for covid.

We have many years since we go year by year AT Savvas Taverna. I must admit: I love Corfu! We chose to go so often for many reason: The view, friendly People, most delicios food. We eat everything from menu, and a little bit more, everything...was just delicios and enough for everyone (my husband is an gourmand guy😬😬). Totally recomanded!More

I rarely ever write reviews but I experienced such a bad atmosphere at this place that I really feel the need to put it out there and make it known. My friend who is local warned me not to come here but I wanted to...try it... 1. THE FOOD - If you like good food and a decent, big Greek feed - don't go here. Portions are small and everything is overpriced for what you get. Ordered calamari and got a tiny piece that was definitely not enough for four to share. A plate that was sold as fresh was anything else than fresh. Also, everything was on the salty side. 2. THE SERVICE - Miserable people. Grumpy when we asked for a kid's seat, one could barely understand our order and made us feel like we were putting him out when he didn't understand what we were saying (we were speaking in English). Lots of frowning. Weird. 3. The only redeeming feature is the view - but we found the same view two restaurants along. So I would advise anyone NOT to go here because in spite of its nice view, the people are a bit awful and the food average, at best.More

Being a regular to Corfu every summer and to this place, I have decided to no longer visit - despite going there since being a teenager (over 15 years now). The setting is what has taken me back each summer but staff are so impolite...and rude that it makes it impossible to go back and part with cash to give to such an unwelcome "welcome". Waiters never smile. I speak Greek and English and have heard waiters be rude in Greek about customers, including myself the last time I visited - not knowing I can actually understand them because I lived in Greece until the age of 7. To top it all - when I last visited, with a group of 5 friends in tow last month, we were served Calamari that gave everyone food poisoning. I called the taverna to inform them and ask them about this and was promptly hung up on. Absolutely shocking service and the OPPOSITE of the Greek concept of "Filoxenia" - they should be ashamed of themselves.More

We moored our hire boat here and stopped for drinks and lunch. Setting is insanely picturesque, drinks were perfect, food stunning and lovely service. Highlight of our trip to Corfu

We looked in here for lunch on recommendation: we were not disappointed. The family run taverna is wonderfully tucked away with outstanding views over the Corfu Channel and a shady position. The menu has a reassuring traditional style: all the dishes offered seem to be...delivered to a high standard and the wine list is well chosen. We had grilled Dorado which were cooked perfectly. Service was friendly and properly paced for a leisurely lunch. Only the wasps, which are an occupational hazard on Corfu in September, intruded occasionally. But they did not spoil a great lunch. Strongly recommended.More

Lunch including excellent fresh seafood platter, starter, dessert and main came to less than €11. Best food I had all in Kavos by far, too. Thanks a lot!

Can't fault our experience at Savvas Taverna, definitely worth the trip. For starters we had tzatziki with bread and the garlic mash. The garlic mash was very strong and was served cold - whilst checking this was supposed to be the case (and clarified it...on google) - it was slightly odd however enjoyed it nonetheless. For mains we both had the stifado - absolutely amazing! Served with fresh bread cooked around the pot and chips and rice. It had a sweeter taste than I was expecting, but couldn't fault it. We were given a complimentary pannacotta, that if it wasn't given on a second visit we would definitely pay for - so nice! Highly recommend.More
