We loved our lunch here - Zorbas owner was the perfect host and he helped us make a great selection for 3 hungry walkers! We felt warmly welcomed and enjoyed every minute of the delicious food and the lovely view over the beach. Highly recommended - thanks Zorbas!

Nice taverna close to the beach, free umbrella for customers and also WiFi. Fresh fish and Mr. Zorbas very friendly! Really not to be missed if you are in the south of crete island!

Raccomended by a local friend, we ate here for the three evenings we spent in Tsousouras. Kosta is a warm host, and the food was delicious, everything I tried. The top finally was the goat stew prepared by Maria, Kosta's wife, best I ever had. Also snails, if you are into it (I am). And grilled lamb, fried cheese, ...... More

Kosta is amazing and very friendly in all languages. He encourages to slow down cigara... cigara. Very welcome. Food is also amazing and very good quality. Nice walk over the mountains to the next walk.

Wonderful small town, family feel. The owner came to give me the menu, came with a bottle of raki (the local moonshine), sat down and discussed the menu, local traditions and even teached some words in greek! Very different and very friendly! The food was also great! Highly recommended!

We visited off season and had the restaurant all to ourselves. The owner went out of his way to find fresh fish and spoke very good English. The food was good though a little more expensive than other local places; still very reasonable as all local spots. Free internet and child friendly as everywhere in Crete. I'd certainly recommend it... More

Just back from our Diakopes - we must say that the authentic crete cuisine of Maria and Kostas is one of the delightful Highlights in our vacation. Beside the fresh mavo psomi and the delicious olive paste and the coarse salt of the sea, you will find dishes that other tavernas did not offer. Kostas and Maria - we will... More

We enjoyed excellent service and quality in this taverna. The dishes were delicious. Bread was hand-made (don't miss it!). The meat was fresh and cooked in the correct way. Mr Kostis welcomed us with warmth and generosity. This place is open even off summer season (but only on week-ends. The place is so calm and relaxing. We'll definitely come back.

As always in Crete, the food is amazing! Everything we tried was well made, even the bread they served us was the best ever! We asked for more bread to take with us! The chicken steak was delicious, the beef with aubergines also, the beer was very very cold as it should. And the prices were reasonable. Very friendly and... More
