A nice looking little restaurant with a quiet vibe. Inventive starters but very basic vegetarian main course choices and, though obviously made with love, not enough to warrant the prices or a return trip.

We went here twice for dinner as I am a vegetarian but there was nothing special about it. Wine was good but no atmosphere & the vegetarian food was simply OK. I would recommend you negotiate a vegetarian option at Jonah's or Maresia's instead.

The food was good but the salad and starter plates were extremely small and pricey . Over all it seemed to expensive for what we got

How can you make such extraordinary dishes with so few extravagant ingredients. A holy secret I guess. The lady of the house is charming and time is not an issue, so don't expect fast food service. Take your time, enjoy the place, enjoy the silence, the welcoming ... And the food ! This place is a true, honest and real... More

We went to casa da vigia upon recommendation of our host at Argonauta. It wad amazingly good. For starter we had house special with bread. It is a variety of spreads and pickled veggies. Very good but nothing mind blowing. As a main we ordered pasta with a taste of sea and a salad. Salad was OK, but the pasta... More

Casa da vigia was a few minutes' walk from the place we stayed in Faja Grande and it offers mostly vegetarian dishes (with a few pescatarian options as well), so it was an obvious choice for us. We came to eat there three consecutive nights (the restaurant opens only at 7pm, so no lunch option) and each one of us... More

Title sums it up really but the food was average, over priced and made us both ill. The trouble is there is very limited choice on Flores, even self catering can be tough as the shops aren't well stocked.

Above average in friendliness and cleanliness, and the food is nice, but the selection very limited for one who has to eat gluten and dairy free! We enjoyed our meals and were made most welcome by the Italian owners.

This is a little outside town but well worth the trip! We had amazing wine, a delicious cheese plate, the best salad we had on the island, good bread, two delicious pasta dishes, and a coconut cookie and yogurt dessert. All are highly reccomended. One of the largest menus we saw in Faja Grande. It seems like they cook with... More

Only 4 restaurants to choose from in the village so it had to be done. Nice place, pleasant cosy atmosphere, good wine and service..... but the food a complete ripoff. I chose the "spicy" pasta, as this is supposed to be a vegetarian restaurant one would expect a nice tasty vegetable sauce with tomatoes, onions, peppers, maybe a bit of... More
