This was our first time to visit this restaurant and if we return back to Madeira this is the place to re-visit for several reasons: excellent service, soup, lemon cake and tea made of the herbs grown in their own garden. Also the view from the terrace is spectacular. "Life is not the days that have passed but the moments... More

We parked at the lighthouse and walked up the path signposted miradour. Gorgeous little tea room with home grown herb tea as well as all the usual teas. Great cakes and lovely looking other food. Really friendly and great views.

We went on a drive round the west of Madeira and stopped here for lunch. My husband had a starter of prawns which was huge easily main course size and I had the vegetable soup which came in a large bowl and included every variety of fresh vegetables. This with the classic madeira garlic bread made a hefty lunch.

While out for a drive on holiday, my wife and I came across this lilltle gmn by accident and decided to have lunch. The staff were so friendly and the food was great, good home cooked, wholesome food, just what we needed. If in the area, I would recommend that you try this place out for yourself.

This has got to be one of the best places for lunch on the Island. We took the side road to Ponta do Pargo on a whim - when you get to the bottom of the road there is a small car park and a very short walk leads to a platform with astounding views of the coast line. Immediately... More

Stopped here for lunch purely by chance after a visit to see the amazing views. My wife enjoyed a soup made from herbs fresh out of the garden with two cooked eggs floating on top. Tasty and recommended. I stayed with a steak sandwich in local bread also excellent. Just a small menu but great value and well worth a... More

We stopped here actually to enjoy the amazing view overlooking the Atlantic ocean, after having had diner elsewhere. The Tea house however looked so appealing that we decided to have some herbal teas. We let the waitress make a blend of herbs and were nicely surprised. A really nice blend of fresh herbs creating a spicy and refreshing tea. We... More

Casa de Chá O Fio is a nice place for a light lunch, or just a coffe stop. It's situated on the edge of the cliffs, 300m above sea level, with stunning views of the coastline and the ocean. The restaurant has a friendly staff and a cozy ambiance. The menu is o.k., but quite limited. If you have the... More
