Captain Michalis restaurant should be on the tourism list of places to visit. It's quite an experience. The service isn't the quickest, and it's not unusual to have drunk all your wine before the food comes. I've seen a few people receiving food meant for someone else. It's quite amusing really. You can order the same meal two nights running,... More

The title says it all... The place is falling down and in the years i have been to Koukounaries it has never had a coat of paint ......... One saving grace is that the bottled beer cant be tampered with so is good value for money, unlike the rest of the place... The owner is very annoying also and will... More

Lovely place. Had seafood lunch. There were specials of the day which the waiter (I think owner) advised us, so we did and the octopus was particularly delicious. Will definitely be back when we return to the island.

We went here for a meal one night, I was intrigued by the spaghetti viagra which was with mussels, prawns and lobster and totally delicious. My partner had the king prawns which came by themselves, about 10 of them. The food looks like it is all cooked on the BBQ. There is no hurry here, we had to look for... More

It looks like an old dilapidated shed type building, but the old man is so welcoming and funny, and the food was really good and reasonably priced. We were entertained all evening, with his banter.

Run by an old guy, this experience was just surreal! Giving banter in broken English, you can't help but laugh. Service was a bit hit and miss, our drinks arriving after the table next to us who ordered after, and another table had completely the wrong dishes served, but it just seemed to fit w it's the place! Typical Greek... More

This place looks like it is collapsing, but it's truly wonderful. Fantastic welcome by the owner. Such a character. Food was wonderful, beautifully cooked in traditional clay ovens. I had the Mousakka my partner had the Kleftako. Lovely atmosphere. Very good value for money. Thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Had a meal last week at this restaurant. The old chap who runs it works very hard and I really don't think he has enough staff to help him. We ordered Rose wine, had to wait an hour for it, then they bought red by mistake. I ordered chicken with a salad, had to wait ages for it, when it... More
