We stopped off here by chance last Saturday and were impressed as soon as we opened the door. The atmosphere is great and it has a really nice countryside pub feel. It is also really baby friendly. The staff were all so kind and the food was high quality. We'll definitely make a habit (no pun intended) out of coming... More

Ate here as party of a business dinner last week and really loved it here. Open fires dotted around the restaurant, good friendly service and the food was delicious with good hearty portions. Will definitely return here if back in the area.

Beautiful old pub & restaurant in lovely Kent village. The staff are very welcoming and the menu is very varied, with something for everyone. Our main course was delicious, (we had rack of lamb and it was cooked perfectly). Would definitely recommend a visit.

Ordered duck with fondant potato with beans and cabbage which was very tasty but extremely small portion. No coffee due to broken machine and overpriced meals not good value which is a shame as the ambience was lovely.

We have arranged a group meal with 22 people at the dirty habit. The before service was amazing with our pre orders and the details if we needed to change. On the night the pub set out a lovely room for us to have with a log fire. The service was on point I couldn't say a bad word, they... More

We arrived early so that we could have a pre drink and was told that food is not served until 5.30 not a problem at all. we ordered our food at 5.20 great. Waitress was then more concerned on looking at blank pages on the table plans on the computer. Our starter arrived 3/4 of an hour later at that... More

Description
Theres nothing taboo about good food, so The Dirty Habit pub restaurant in Hollingbourne near Maidstone is perhaps misleadingly named. Of course the name actually refers to the origins of this historic building on the famed Pilgrims Way, close to the North Downs and dating back to the 11th century, The Dirty Habit started life as a brewery owned and run by monks who also allowed weary travellers to rest here as they made their way to Canterbury. Gloriously characterful, The Dirty Habit maintains features from throughout the intervening years, including cosy fireplaces and ovens, gnarly old beams and a long Georgian oak bar too. From the comfy Monks Corner to the beautifully refurbished terrace, theres a space to suit your occasion. While the bar serves a wide range of beers, ales and spirits, as well as a good wine list, the food menu caters for all tastes and budgets, The Dirty Habits award winning chef using locally sourced produce in dishes ranging from traditional British pub grub to more exotic offerings.
