Okay, I visited in late August when a sleeping Italian village goes into complete hibernation, so I lowered expectations, at least on service. Sadly, very little went well. From the get go, cracked drinking glass, stale bread, no wine list, etc. Honestly, they had only red and wine (sweet and dry) wine for some reason. Basically all tables were given... More

Four of us went to dinner and had a wonderful two-course meal of "Lobster Catalan" followed by a baked Branzino (sea bass) with potatoes. The food was thoughtfully presented and delicious. The service (by the chef's mother) was friendly and attentive, and the overall experience, while not lavish, was thoroughly enjoyable and did I mention the food? Absolutely delicious, and... More

I only started going to this place after I left the area and made return visits...such a shame of missing out. Food is amazing and served as is ready, not a minute or centigrade before. Mamma didn't readily agree to serve the Frico as antipasti but once she saw my empty plate I think she agreed to my out of... More

Our landlord took us here with his family and ours for a holiday dinner. The server was very nice and went out of her way to tell us in English what was available for each and every course, she really could not have been more kind and gracious with us all. The dinner came with both red and white wines.... More

I had the good fortune of attending a going away dinner for about 40 people at Da Regina, and I was expecting only a mediocre meal with the total number of guests but wow was I surprised. We had a 4 course meal, with both red and white house wine, that included an excellent veal dish. The service was prompt... More

Ok, I am not sure if I was in the same restaurant as the other reviewers that gave such a bad rating. I have worked in 4 and 5 star restaurants in the US for several years, and I am very familiar with food quality. The Regina is top notch! The food was so incredibly good and well prepared. Prosecco... More

I recently had a business lunch with a colleague at Da Regina in Polcenigo. This is a quaint little restaurant located at the base of the Dolomites, featuring both seafood and meat dishes. The main dining room consist of about 8-10 tables, adequately spaced apart from each other to afford private conversation. It is the end of the winter season... More

This place is a family-run joint with a very small staff. Everything is prepared fresh, so of course it takes a little longer, but you can tell! We eat here when we want the best seafood we can get in the local area. They have live lobsters and make an amazing spicy lobster spaghetti. The cozy dining room is romantic... More
