Called in towards the end of August. Sadly like a lot of premises in Mayo they close after the "Season ". Nice table by the window looking out at the fine village of Louisburg and watched the world go by . Ordered up Seafood Pizza and the Malbec. Service was great and the food likewise ...excellent . It was not... More

I dropped in because the place to be (D. Pub) was too crowded. Went back next day: very nice staff, vegetarian options with rafinesse: I really loved it. Very good value for reasonable prices

We were there on Sunday 5 June (everywhere else was completely booked out) - we were suspicious when it was almost empty whenever everywhere else was full. We found out. Food, some of which was tasty enough, was very overpriced. Service was dreadful. The waitresses, while friendly, were untrained and not professional. 4 of us go seafood pasta which was... More

We dropped in for dinner on a hunch. Apparently we were lucky to get a table, because people after us were told it was full. There are only a handful of tables. The restaurant is on one of the major streets in Louisburgh, but since it's such a small town, that just makes it easy to find. Service was friendly... More

Very welcoming and lovely staff. Enjoyed my pasta very much. There is a little choice regarding beer. Tiny but very cosy restaurant.

A group of nine famished hill walkers descended on Gaffney's one Saturday night without a reservation. We were promptly seated and made to feel most welcome. I was not holding out much hope of a good, let alone excellent meal, given that we were presented with a set menu for 25 euro, but I am delighted to say that I... More

Hi Kernow pixie, I am the chef from Gaffney's Seafood Restaurant, . I am very glad you enjoyed your meal overall and hugely appreciate your review. In view your suggestion to serve craft ales we are now looking into sourcing from local microbreweries. We look forward to receiving your custom again. Thank you Ethan More

Ate here for my sons 18th birthday, wow wow wow. We were a party of four and each of us had different dishes, every dish was delicious, and cooked to perfection, everything was perfect, only complaint I have is this restaurant is not near my home in England. Will definately return to gaffneys every time I return to ireland.

7 of us had beautiful food, excellent service, cute quirky restaurant. Nicest bruschetta I've had, plaice stuffed with crab yummy, and delightful banoffee. Great value for €25

Such a quaint little place. A delicious meal, perfectly cooked and presented. Great value for money if you choose the €25 set menu or if you're not hungry enough for 3 courses you can choose just a main course from the regular menu (you might regret it though when you see the starters arrive). Will definitely visit Louisburgh if only... More
