Had the best Sunday lunch here. Fresh baked hot bread to while we waited. My husband had the beef, huge portion, very tender. I had the pork, again plenty to eat. Sharp homemade apple sauce, very nicely cooked selection of veg. Extra jug of tasty gravy, no problem. Very helpful friendly staff, tables not too close together which makes a... More

We had a fantastic lunchtime meal here between Christmas and new year the food and service are excellent and nice to see Dennis again. They're dog friendly too so our little fox terrier can enjoy the occasion with us

This is a fantastic restaurant, in a lovely village setting. Part of my family and ! went there for a sunday lunch, and it could not have been better. An extremely varied menu, lovely seating, excellent food, and not ridiculously expensive. It is becoming something of a regular with us, and I am about to book a big birthday party... More

We (being a party of four) stepped into the Boot on Sunday for an impromptu catch up with some friends. We all had Sunday roast (all three courses) and it was delicious. The staff were friendly particularly SJ - and it was nice to see Stuart working hard in the kitchen

Decided to go for a drive in order to find a new place to eat and came across The Boot. We found the food, staff and service very good and would have no hesitation in recommending this place to friends

We love The Boot as the food is amazing. We visited on a Saturday lunchtime and they were really busy but we were served quickly and with a smile by the waiting staff. The kedgeree is delicious and the smaller portion is plenty for lunch. You will not go wrong with the boot but it's always worth phoning as quite... More

Went as a group of four middle aged ladies. The service was friendly and efficient. Loved the fact it's all chalk boards and has a wide range of going home cooked meals. Yes you do have to wait....the trouble is we've become so used to microwaved or boil in the bag rubbish people don't appreciate home cooked things, personally I'd... More

We were looking for decent restaurants near Stoke Hammond in Buckinghamshire. The nearest is called The Three Locks but when I called they were already full to the brim. So, I tried the next nearest which is The Boot at Soulbury. This is more of a village pub than a restaurant. That is not to say the Restaurant side isn't... More

We eat here quite often and have never had a bad meal. The food is wonderfully homely. We as a family have several favourite dishes. For me the Kedgeree is superb as is their crumble! Very friendly staff. Pleased to have it so close to home.
