This takeaway once won the best fish and chips in the UK in a national newspaper. We have used it for years when visiting the Lizard and drive for miles to get there. It was previously outstanding: they only cooked haddock, always fresh and it was a huge thick fillet. Visited this evening, first time in 18 months, discovered there... More

There aren't many places to eat seafood where you can look out to sea, down the lifeboat slipway, sip sauvignon blanc and eat fish that has been landed a few yards away. This is a delightful place, with a really friendly team, and some great recipes. We had monkfish tagine, as a main, which was really tasty. The best bit... More

4 of us ate here tonight. Fish cakes and chowder chosen for starters were delicious (chowder portion a bit overwhelming. Two of us had curry tonight and again really really nice. Mackerel and goatcheese tartlet just too big and we sadly had no room for a desert. Will definitely be back. Good service friendly and helpful. Best to book so... More

Nice place to go for fish and chips. Good quality food. Reasonable selection of beers and wines. Good tip: go in and book a table by the window so you can enjoy the view at the same time.

Definitely worth a visit. Good quality food. There is a bar, restaurant area and a take away service is available. If you re having take away fish and chips why not sit by the harbour and enjoy watching the fishing boats coming in?

We had take-away fish and chips and ate sitting on the harbour wall in the late evening sun. Lovely, although a bit of a wait to be served. I can't comment on the inside of the restaurant as we never saw it, but the outside tables could do with some TLC.

What a very odd manager. Questioned why we were talking to someone outside, we explained they were making recommendations, his response, don't listen to tourists they only know money! (Manager was hardly local ,Scottish?) Breakfast took 45 mins to arrive only 5 in the restaurant, average !
