Went for an afternoon kayaking.... after a lovely afternoon we were dissapointed that they staff tried to give us the incorrect change from 10,000 vtu.....gave me back 500,after charging 1,500?? I'm sure the correct amount is $8500.... they weren't to good at trying to hide it when we brought it to their attention!!

We didn't know what to expect as we were driving towards the spot the ferry picked us up from. It was a nice shirt ride across to Oyster Island. We were welcomed by Chief David and everything was explained to us. We went to restaurant and placed our lunch order then went for a walk around the island. We were... More

This is a cute place with just the right amount of isolation on its' own island with a sweet boat service where you ring a bell to summon the boat! But Sunday Lunch Barby is a MUST do if you're on Santo. Live music, good food, great company and swim right off the beach!

Every Sunday there is a lunch buffet that serves various meats (beef ribs, pork ribs, fish, etc) and salads. The quality of the food is quite decent relative to what you can get in Santo. It's about a ~15min drive from Luganville, and a taxi there and back should cost around 2000-3000 Vatu all up. The island offers a nice... More

My partner and I took a taxi from main street Luganville to the Oyster Bay ferry stop. The taxi will cost approx. 2000-3000 Vatu return (approx. $23-$35 AUD). At the ferry stop you ring a bell (whack the big metal drum with a stick) to call the ferry/boat over from Oyster Island. The ferry takes about 60 seconds to get... More

My daughter and I kayaked from the Matevulu blue hole to oyster island and stopped over for lunch. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was rather expensive for the quality but that seemed to be quite common in all of Santo. The water, beach and restaurant area were great and is definitely a must see for visitors!
