We arrived for an early dinner and couldn't fault the meal, drinks or attentive staff. The food was lovely home cooked and portion sizes very generous. Prices are very good for the service and quality of food. Would highly recommend.

Sorry not particularly thrilled. Also long wait. As previous very generous starters, maybe a bit too much sauce on the prawn cocktails. Roast arrived, good size but what a shame only just warm, potatoes and Yorkshire puddings overcooked. We asked for small fish and chips...More

Like a previous reviewer we booked a table for 1.30 pm, forgetting it was Fathers' Day. At the bar we were told it would be a long wait and also about free dessert for dads. As we are on holiday and it was miserable weather...More

We popped in for dinner and were made to feel very welcome. The staff are very friendly and the home cooked food is good value for money. Dogs are welcome and the pub has a lovely atmosphere.

Great overnight stay, made very welcome by landlord and staff. Have to say the rump steak was just about the best steak - ever. Thanks for your hospitality.

We shared the nachos starter which was one of the best we're tried with nice juicy pieces of steak. The mains were also tasty and although they took a little while to come out were well worth the wait.

Very friendly. Good beer. Nice open fire. We turned off the main road in need of a break and were very happy to find this.
