The mother was cooking on this night. We had the pork, a steak and the duck confit. The pork, outside of the pepper layered skin, was bland. The confit was hard and tasteless. I really wanted to give this little place a good rating because it's a family run affair but I wouldn't go back. The saving grace was the... More

We were sent here by our host at the chateau we were staying at. On the night we went the son of the owner was the only one there and he did an excellent job of hosting, serving, cooking and entertaining us with his great stories, humour and tips for chateaus to visit al by himself. We really enjoyed the... More

In the heart of St. Emilion, in the tiny village of St. Loubes, is a little gem. This sweet restaurant is run by very enthusiastic staff that are warm and friendly from the moment you arrive. We turned ourselves over to them for the evening and what a meal it was! They recommended the incredible Chateau Reignac 2010 wine (which... More

Restaurang was recommended to us by La Villa d'Or, where we stayed. (like other commentators as well :)). This was perfect place to eat in our last evening in France. Our view was that this was cosy restaurang with very nice service

This was our last dinner after three weeks in France. It was recommended to us by La Villa d'Or, where we stayed. This is a family run restaurant with fabulous service, where the chef visits after each course and his mom and dad are the servers. What a perfect way to say goodbye to France.

We spent an enjoyable evening at Le Coq Sauvage on the Dordogne River just outside Saint Loubes. It was a delightful evening with good food and a delightful friendly family staff running it. I had a beef goulash that was tasty but the beef a bit too chewy. Two women at the table had scallops. One loved them; one liked... More

This is a restaurant worthy of a visit ( we went twice ! ). The cruise is wonderful and the ambiance is warm. The tastes are simple and delicious. We highly recommend the beef filet and the lamb. Service was attentive but not overpowering.

we were here for dinner in the month July. Place is very old, garden is not done. As the food is expensive for what you get. Terrible we never go back. If you ere send there from te BB castle saint aignan dont do it.

The logo tells you everything. It's a great find, traditional country cooking courtesy of wonderful Anna. Husband Guy, welcomes all and works the floor energetically. 100 yards from the Dordogne, and a small sailing community, but bewhere the huge alsatian dog (barks but no bite). Not cheap, but well worth the trip.
