After a lousy breakfast at the Port Arthur Cafe, Fish Lips was what I needed for a late lunch. This was one of the two places that were still open after I finished Port Arthur and I got lucky. My husband and I arrived around 4pm and the Finnish owner was too kind to keep the cafe open for us.... More

We stopped over here while sailing Tasmania on our boat to find somewhere for lunch. We called the Norfolk Bay Convict Station which we thought had a restaurant and bar, but it turned out that they only do breakfast. I asked about Lio Fish and they advised that it was very casual and hit and miss and we should go... More

Pulled in for a quick bite and found the venue inviting, friendly and had a very organised calm feel. Food was served promptly. Extra large coffee as a standard was great! Licensed with local wines and handmade candles and soaps; all good aromas!

Had a couple of unbelievable smoked salmon omelete from these people for an early dinner today. Seriously top restaurant quality and presentation for a very reasonable price. Called in and they weren't even open for food service, but the lovely lady owner insisted that "as you're already here, we'll get you something" then proceeded to offer us virtually the full... We did not stay in the accommodation but stopped for lunch and a coffee. The hostess, a delightful Finnish lady, was very friendly. Had a yummy scallop pie and coffee in lovely surroundings. Thank you!

The food was definitely worth waiting for, lovely and fresh. A beautiful spot with great friendly service. Cute cabins beside the water added to the serene nature of the area, could have been straight from Finland.

Run by a lovely Finnish lady, the cafe is on the main road. Lovely and quirky touches/decor on the back patio sets off a great view over the bay. It is different from the run-of-the-mill cafe and great value too! Definitely worth a stop.

We stopped into this place by pure accident on our way back from Port Arthur and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and the service. The lady who runs this place is Finnish and there is a touch of Finland in all her cooking which is a really nice touch of taste. Also be sure to... More

We have eaten at the cafe, regularly for 6 years have found the food and coffee consistently excellent. The food always fresh (particularly the salads) and prepared, with great care and attention. The food has real Scandinavian flair and the owners are warm and friendly, a great place for a relaxed brunch. The B& B cottages are set around a... More
