collecting friends from the airport and directly up for lunch at Cafe de la Fontaine is a winning concept! Then go for the amazing view! Advisable to book a table in advance.

After a disastrous lunch in St Raphael the day before, it was time to get serious and head to La Turbie; don't go there for the view, fancy tables, an extensive menu or a great wine list, however, just go for the bistro experience and great simple dishes; we had the ravolis, sardines, chicken, the selle d'agneau and asked to... Well we had another wonderful lunch at La Fontaine today. Every dish was beautifully cooked with excellent local produce on offer. The menu is short. It changes every day so you never really know what to expect. Today we had the liver with fantastic potatoes and the salmon with lovely fresh vegetables. Service is friendly and quick and the atmosphere... More

Always full, best to reserve especially for dinner. Tables close to each other but good atmosphere, many locals as well as foreigners

This " Café " is run buy the Michelin 5* restaurant near by and has a menu that reflects the market purchases of the day. There is a need to book at busy periods as this is a popular locally, whether for just a bowl of soup with bread or a steak + salad Through to the full 5 course.

On the main street of La Turbie, a village next to Monaco is La fontaine which is a hot spot with locals because of the good food and the low prices. The menu changes daily. Local dishes and traditional French fare. Good wine selection and desserts are homemade. all in all a pleasant no thrills bistro. No table without reservation... More

We have come to this place for years and always enjoyed the innovative French cuisine in La Turbie. Now they obviously changed management (invisible) and the chef de cuisine. The evening menue was very uninspired. e.g. you found some white beans (and far too many) in the Ravioli starter as well as in the main courses which came unspiced. Asking... More

We made a reservation here but didn't end up eating here as the menu is very limited. Two out of the 5 mains courses were both veal which we don't eat. There were no vegetarian options. I have given an average review which only reflects the poor choices available so it is worth checking what is actually on the menu... More

We went for lunch in Cafe la Fontaine as la Turbiasque was shut on a Wednesday. The food was average at best but the real disaster was the attitude of the staff. Our waiter forgot our bread and managed to spill beer on us. When we pointed out that the table was soaked little did he bother and dry the... More
