I guess that the booking experience was a sign: when all other Can Picafort beach diners were full, this one at least proposed an alternative: the early dinner. We took them up on that and no regrets. As of walking in, warmly welcomed by the host: a top beach front table, superb service by each and everyone, a fideuà that was brilliant (filled with amazing fresh luxury shellfish), cool music, feet in the soft beach sand, good coffee, Patxaran and an amazing modest price. THIS is one hell of a chiringuito!! I’ll be back ASAP!!!

Beautiful place and delicious food!

What a fantastic place! We went as a family of 4 and enjoyed the paella. The service was second to none and the views of the sea form our table was gorgeous. The paella was delicious and a lovely sized portion. The children enjoyed their meals too and they were big portions so even my 11 year old was full afterwards! I would definitely recommend as it was great value for money too.

Nice food on the beach

The location is nice, particularly in the evening, being right on the playa de muro beach. The food is nice, starters to share (croquetas and shrimp are recommended as well as the pulpo a la brasa) and fish is fresh and tasty. Waitresses and waiters are very nice and the overall experience recommended.

We were looking forward for a nice beach dinner at a beautiful location. Unfortunately, the beautiful location and design is everything positive to say. The staff was not really friendly, the main food arrived right after the starters (no 5mins between) and the taste and quality of the food is very poor. We had the sea food spaghetti and the iberian pork steak. Spaghetti had nearly no sauce and taste, felt like it was cook seperate and at the end some sauce with seafood was added. The pork steak was plain, not even salt or pepper, one slice was very thin (horrible overgrilled). The fries were pulpy and the vegtables had no taste at all, just cooked in hot water, no salt, no bouillon, some breadcrumbs or almonds or whatever, you name it. Never again for food. Nice location for a good drink!

Too high expectation to be then disappointed

Disappointing. The portions of food were not that big, it's freshness was doubtable. The tuna on the salad was clearly from can, the salmon took a deep dive in oil. Even the salad wasn't made with love. For what we ate, it was overpriced. Regarding the service, it was broken. They forgot our appetizers that end up arriving when we were done with the main plate, it wasn't fresh as well. During the meal, nothing arrived on time, for example we ordered drinks again during the meal and they arrived in the end with the dessert, but then the dessert was already eaten when we got the coffees. It is well located though. The food is made without heart and soul. It seems they tried to please German and English palates because the garnish you get - salad and potato on aluminium with a lot sauce - is normally found in those countries. If all your life you ate fish and seafood, you will quick have doubts about their food.

Very poor food even worse service

I ordered the lamb chops. Virtually no meat on them, and any that was present was incredibly fatty It came with french fries that looked so greasy they must have been sitting in fat for 20 minutes After complaining to the waitress no attempt was made whatsoever to put things right Instead just a foul cheap alcoholic shot that would have made you feel ill had you drunk it. No discount offered for the meal which was ruined Went to Ponderosa (next door) yesterday and it was slightly more expensive but absolutely fabulous and 100% worth the extra money

Our favourite restaurant in Mallorca! Maybe anywhere! Amazing food, awesome staff and great location on the beach! Paella is best we’ve had! Chipirones, fried shrimps and fresh fish is spot on. Second visit this holiday. We booked both visits as soon as we booked our hols.

Spectacular location above the sand of the beach, fast and efficient service as well as a very good price and don't miss it, the food is delicious, specifically the paella is unbeatable. Can you ask for more? I believed that good things couldn't be cheap and my plans were broken. Picada and paella and drink, without dessert on the beachfront, well served and delicious €37 per person THAT EXISTS… it's called CAN GAVELLA.

The restaurant is lovely with a great location, the staff weren’t very friendly, just seemed stressed and on edge, if you need to speak to a waiter you can’t walk beyond a certain point and get told to wait for your waiter in my case the food didn’t all come out together because of waiting for the waiter! Burger undercooked and bloody, chips tasted of fish. Very disappointing considering it looked so lovely, biggest thing is is the staff need to smile and be genuinely friendly not robots. The team totally let themselves down. It’s not just about making money, build a friendly reputation!

Very good paella and sangria cava they make. Also great service. Paella must be booked before going.and require card first to block 10 per person in case you do not show up or cancel your Reservation within 24h. Recommendation carrot cake. Even the delicious one

The food, we ordered a fideuá is good, the service was very poor, we asked the person who was waiting for the table for dessert and after a long time without news of the dessert we asked for it and again we waited for quite a long time, we returned to it complain and it seems that the person who had taken note had not transferred it and the request did not exist, they asked it again but after a long time they informed us that the stocks of those desserts were sold out, finally after more than 40 minutes they brought two ice creams one of these wooden ones that you find in any kiosk. Anyway, those saddlebags were not needed for that trip. The funny thing is that it was full and they start with the lunch shifts around 1:00 p.m., they gave us our shift at 3:30 p.m.

All the staff working here were friendly, chatty and very helpful. My husband and I had a delicious seafood paella. It was very well seasoned, all the fish was tasty and very fresh. Drinks were great too. Lovely vibe! I would highly recommend this place

A great place, to repeat. We ate in the dining room because it wasn't very good, I was left wishing I could have enjoyed the terrace with my feet in the sand. The waiters are very nice young people and the food was delicious. The mixed paella is highly recommended. I hope to return!

Very nice place but unwarm welcome. We had booked for 8pm a table. Since 19h10 we tried to contact a taxi in vain (even from the hotel 10min from the restaurant ) so we arrived at 20h15 at the restaurant. At 20h12 , we were already called to say that we were late and that we had until 20h30 to arrive .. the person at the reception was nice and welcomed us. Just arrived and sitting at the table, we are asked what we see drinking and eating. We order drinks and ask the waitress to come back in 5 min so we can look at the map. 3 min later she comes back to ask and we order (we had the impression she was already fed up when it was 8:20 pm). The waitress asked us if we wanted bread and we answered positively (we never saw it). We had barely finished picking up our plates .. there was however a very friendly waiter who brought us drinks and colored pencils for our daughters .. the food was very good pity that there were more shrimp as a starter .. for summary, the meal was good and the site beautiful.. pity the waitress was also unsympathetic..

We had reservations and arrived right on time. As soon as we sit down we are asked what we want to eat. My friend having gone to the toilet we asked for a few moments. Although he hasn't returned yet, the waitress still shows up 3 minutes later to take the order... annoying actually. We feel this same pressure throughout the meal. Our impression is that the waiters can't wait for us to clear the floor. we still have digestives on the canapes. and while we are drinking quietly, the waiter approaches my son and says to him, I quote “it is forbidden to sleep there”. Obviously he wasn't sleeping (he was wearing sunglasses). But even so, we're on the beach, and we can't relax on the sofas??? The end is in the same tone, we are asked to have another drink or to leave because the bar and the cash register will close in 5 minutes (so we would have had 5 minutes to drink a gin and tonic???). In short, we all hated the service to the point of not being able to give an opinion on the food that this welcome spoiled.
