First of all, we would like to say that we are both professional teachers and we evaluate our restaurant experiences accurately, fairly and justly. The decor in this pub is warm and cosy, with many interesting antiques and historical items on display. We also liked...More

Once upon a time this was a glorious venue, steeped in "olde world" travel history with the facilities to provide a memorable visit, sadly no longer. The owner was most unwelcoming, bordering on sourly at our approach, we nearly did an about turn straight away...More

Had a burger and to be honest it was awful. So dry I think I could find more moisture in the Sahara. Makes me wonder if they used a cooker or a dehumidifier. Kids meal came with beans and no word of a lie I...More

Had the Picanha steak and it was to die for! Melted in your mouth. Hopefully they will add this to their usual menu. Lovely staff.

We live locally, have used the pub on several occasions in the past and on a whim visited again. Owner/welcome - unresponsive owner and a feeling he was doing us a favour. Food - distinctly average pub food. Conclusion - should have stuck with our...More

The person behind the bar was not pleased to see us. The 'coke' was watered down so much it was transparent. We did not stay to eat so cannot comment. The prices were top end 'though!

Fantastic welcome from Dave the owner, a traditional pub with wonderful home cooked food from a exciting menu. The pub is cosy and interesting. Families catered for very well. Enjoy
