Fantastic evening, superb staff and really enjoyable pre Christmas family meal! In fact we've booked elsewhere for Christmas Day but wish we were going back!

Had a surprise meal for my friends 30th last night and they were so accommodating, the man serving us was brilliant. He definitely made the night, food came out in good time. Brilliant selection of wine and we even got a little taster when we couldn't decide which bottle to get.. the little things are always noted. Food was delicious... More

This pub and its gardens are clean and beautifully presented. The atmosphere inside is fabulous and the staff are excellent. However, we arrived close to teatime and maybe that was the problem the noise from families and screaming children and babies was unbelievable and I would recommend taking a table to the rear of the pub, we had taken the... I will not go into great detail, however this has become so lack lustre it almost drains your energy as you walk in the door. The staff are lovely but you can see from the front of house staff they are just waiting for the next complaint, One meal went back, the other 2 just looked like sadness on a plate.... More

A very smart place to eat, menu had enough choices to suit most. Good service and a fun atmosphere. I will visit next time I am in Cheadle visiting friends.

Had the two courses £15.95, which was good value for money as the quality of the food was pretty good. Unfortunately the mains came and didn't have much veg. We had to wait a while for gravy which meant the food was not hot when we ate it. The gravy was really watery and definitely not worth the wait. The... More

Chance visit with family late afternoon. Promptly received and made very welcome. Ambience was very pleasant, wood burning stove and well cared for barn feel to the decor: open and spacious. Waiting staff knowledgable with good timing and just the right engagement. Nice touch helping elderly mother in law with an extra cushion. Food selection to meet all tastes and... More

Very disappointed. We booked a table here for 4.30pm today (Sunday). It advertises on its menu that they serve Sunday roast until 5pm. We travelled for half an hour to get here to be told that there were no Sunday roast dinners left. Despite booking the table almost a week in advance, we were never told that there was a... More

Stunning barn conversion with plenty of space between nicely laid out tables for eating as well as cosy nooks and crannies for coffee and relaxing However the food today was not up to the same standard as other visits we have had Sunday lunch was very disappointing with a large piece of dry meat in a plate, very sparse veg... My partner enjoyed her meal very much, alas mine was far from so Anyway the Fish and Chips with Beer Batter was very nice she tells me, well the fish and the peas. The chips she describes as average. The chicken Ceaser salad was ok, well the salad was very nice, the chicken was dry and overcooked. For desert the... More
