Enjoyed a good dinner at this rural restaurant in Normandie. Natural area outside, familiar spirit and good food inside. Thanks!

We visited this restaurant three times on our recent holiday to the Cotentin and it didn't disappoint. First of all, it's in a beautiful setting right on the banks of the river Douve. It's a little bit out of the way but well worth the...More

We had dinner at L'auberge de L'ouve, amazing! I had the salmon and my husband the lamb chop, which they grilled next to us on the fireplace. It was a special experience and everything tasted very good.

We had the 19.50€ set lunch menu... food was great, as was the service, and eaten in front of blazing log fire. Not the easiest place to find, signposted down the tiny lanes, but well worth the effort.

We were warmly welcomed by our waitress, who also ended up cooking our main course in the open fireplace! My husband ordered the country pate as a starter, and, in typical French fashion, was given the whole terrine and a knife to serve himself however...More
