Great food in a typical old Flemish setting. This chef surprises every time without being over-excentric. The restaurant breathes "brown café", the way typical Flemish pubs used to look like. From the appetizers to the desert, tastes and textures are right. The food is combined with unique wines which like an unfiltered macabeo white from the southwest of France... exemplary... More

It's my absolute favorite! Excellent food! The chef knows what he's doing. Up to a first star! Also the wine is amazing! Fair prices, no nonsens.

Two years ago, we were enchanted by the excellent food and the good quality-price of the restaurant, however, last time was really disappointing. A quite limited choice. Small portions (and we are not use to eat a lot, but prefer less but surprising good food we cannot cook ourselves). Although the appetizer was really VERY small the mail dish, breast... More

Cosy old fashioned beer bar interior, but beware : cook knows his job. Fancy well portioned dishes and a humble, worthy but still affordable wine list. We'll be back !

Just to make sure that readers understand us correctly: the food was excellent. Surprising tastes at affordable prices. The menu is quite limited, so make sure in advance on their website whether or not you will find what you like. The problem we have with this restaurant is twofold. On the one hand, it balances between brasserie-bistro style (given the... More

Everything we got on our plate in this restaurant was of high quality and innovative, in a comfortable and welcoming setting. Needless to say we ate every last bit of it. This young cook has great potential.

Belgium with France Italy and China is doublesly the world's best place to enjoy delicate food. The young owners of Het vliegend tapijt (The Flying Carpet) offer excellent dishes at a prize, lower than those of better known restaurants in the province.

In 1985 Chef Stefaan François started this cosy, honest and attractive restaurant. His focus has always been on a limited carte of top quality seasonal products. In July 2011 his son Felix, an experienced sous-chef in star rated restaurants, inherited his fathers spoons and pans. A change in management is always a risky business, but here a bull's eye was... This is a good restaurant. Price & quality are in balance. The wines are selected and the service is "impeccable" The pace to have a nice meal a good drink and a lot of jazz music.
