Were staying in the village in a holiday let and decided to call in for a drink one day. We were amazed by the extensive outdoor area behind the pub and sat and had an enjoyable few drinks out in the gardens. Didn't eat here...More

Booked ahead, the curry was homemade and was really tasty. The minted lamb burger was great. Good real ale too.

Very good pub meal, all the family loved what they had chosen. Fish and chips to die for, freshly caught fish, a very light crispy batter, it just melted in your mouth. Grandson didn't want chips with his burger, just onion rings and no salad,...More

We visited the Kingfisher last night as a family as we’re staying in Colyton on holiday. The variable reviews had made us wary, but we thought we’d give it the benefit of the doubt. I called an hour before to book a table for 6pm...More

My husband and I had been recommended this pub as we were looking for somewhere nice to eat. We arrived to find a very unwelcoming member of staff. They were more interested in serving the regular customers. We weren't made to feel very welcome ....More

We had a pleasant lunch at this pub. They own a couple of fishing boats - the catch from which they serve up in the pub.

Great food and friendly staff. Do call in and eat here if you are in Colyton. I had fish and chips such a lovely batter and my husband had a very tasty pie.

Pretty standard pub fare, bordering on average. The chips (because there are always chips) were the saving grace to the two burger meals. The ploughman's lunch had no redeeming features, and overall disappointed. Just a few tweaks and it could be so much better -...More

Pleasant staff but food is not very exciting. Veggie pasta was just a bowl of pasta with a small amount of tomato sauce mixed in. There were no added veg so though it tasted ok it was a bit boring to eat. Came with very...More

We travelled up from Seaton on the tramway specifically to have Sunday lunch at the Kingfisher. It was a gorgeous meal! I had scampi which in slot of pubs means 6 bits of scampi exactly as stated on the menu. Not here though, no levels...More

Hi There. Thanks for your email. Yes we are dog friendly. The only place they can't go is in the restaurant. But you can bring them in and eat or drink in the bar area. Thank you.
