I was worried the smell might make it difficult to eat but it wasn’t an issue. The tofu was crispy and delicious. Even our 4-year-old liked it, although she said it was “too spicy.” I recommend ordering the full order rather than the half order.

Well, now, when some say that the children ran PELL MELL when the lunch was served, they were not shooting lightning up your leg in a thunderstorm. The stinky tofu was delicious, foul, filling, wonky, and had the most interesting texture. The staff was welcoming (BEST people in the restaurant) and helped us make Little Geraldine finish up; she was bold. You know Sally's policy on wasting food: DON'T, or we make you stay with Aunt Jan (and she's a terrible cook). There was a sauce that would make Anthony Zimmerman get the shivers in his livers. Our translator had recommended Lin's, and we thank whatever dashboard god he prays to, because we can now check stinky stanky stunky tofu off our list FOREVER. I recommend RC cola. None of us dared seek out mango rice pudding, as we had the fears (7 folk, 1 toilet WITH bidet). The restaurant was tidy and did the trick (not magic trick, in case your brow arched). I do NOT recommend adding Frank's hot sauce to what they called "eggs". No need. Loveliness and awe.

Visited out of curiosity as our Rough Guide to Taiwan recommend it & we had never tried stinky tofu. We ordered just 1 plate initially in case we found it unpalatable, but enjoyed it so much we quickly ordered more. Friendly staff were a bonus. Wish I lived closer as the tofu is delicious.

Despite of the humble interior, the seats and tables are clean and the stinky tofu is delicious and crispy with sour fermented Taiwanese cabbage. You can also add some chili sauce to make it spicy. The mouthfeel is very pleasant.

The stinky tofu is average. The taste is good, but i dont think it worth travel long way just for it.
The pickles are really good though. I would be willing to go back there just for the sweet sour cabbage pickles

Yes, the name of the restaurant does say it all, but we didn't realize it was not bad. I won't complain about the smell because it sells stinky tofu. However, can the owners of this restaurant improve its service and make the dining area a more pleasant one? I wish we didn't go because to us it was totally a waste of money.

Stinky tofu was never my cup of tea, but Lin's tofu definitely blew my mind. Their tofu was incredibly crispy outside but soft inside, while the sauce and Taiwanese kimchi match with its tofu really well. Get a big plate (100NTD) and it came in with big portion, it's cheap and yummy, I will return if I visit Taitung again! We came here at 9 at night and it was still opening, there were plenty of seats in the shop at that period of time, we didn't have to wait. :)

one of the most popular food stand within Taitung city
If you are not afraid of the smell, this stinky tofu is one of the best
Yummy and crunchy, and the taste is not too over,
And the sauce is just perfect match,
Usually a long lineup of waiting, but since it's street food, usually for about 15 min of waiting time, you can have it
A bit more expensive compare to other similar stinky tofu
But still it's just a coin of cost,
And I think it worth the value!

Tried the stinky tofu, taste is not bad but found it a bit dry. It's not a must try in my opinion. It's inexpensive though, only 50ntd for 6 piece, around usd1.8

This place does not smell as bad as most other places that serve this dish. In the past, the stench has kept me from wanting to try stinky tofu. This place has big vents that carry the odor away so that it's not unbearably stinky. Good place to bring someone who is new to stinky tofu as it will not overwhelm their olfactory senses!

The place was popular. We were there around 5pm and there were already a long line. The lady at the counter took orders from people in the line in advance (3 or 4 orders at a time). That's really efficient. There were other items to order, but people simply go for stinky tofu, ordering simply Big or Small. The taste wasn't bad, but nothing can compare to the tofu in Sheng Ken (New Taipei City), where the tofu lovers would go. Any others are just tofu. :D

the deep fried stinky tofu is okay, basil on top is a nice touch, but portion is a bit small, price is also higher than average consider the small portion.
