The best luroufan. We went back again and again despite the snaking queues each night for our daily bowl. It’s damn good on its own but add the chilli for the extra oomph. Best ever. Get the large bowl instead of the small. You won’t regret it. The carrot cake is also worth a mention. We tried the mifen soup as well. While the soup is tasty, I’ll say stick to the luroufan and the carrot cake.

One of the best restaurants we went to for dinner in Taipei. We had the Lou Ru Fan, Oyster omelette and White Radish cake. We enjoyed the radish cake the most. The omelette tasted good but had too much jelly. Service is 10/10 they are friendly and fast. Long queue but we were seated in about 10mins.

Everyone have been comparing this with Jin Feng LRF but personally I really love Tian Tian Li Mei more! The braised pork rice here is more towards the sweeter, but alot more peppery end. So for those who are expecting a more savory LRF you have been pre-warned. But what's really good about this is that they will usually ask if you would like to order an egg to go along with it which I am always like of course! The egg actually lifts the taste of the LRF and I always find myself feeling very satisfied whenever I leave the place. The Taiwanese style Oyster Omelette is what I will always order to go along with the LRF. In all honesty nothing wow about that but just something that I will combo with my LRF. For those who are concerned about seats ( they only have about 40 seats) , you can always take out! Overall, cheap homely Thrills is how I would summarize this place! MUST TRY, MUST COME, MUST GO!

One of the famous restaurant in Taipei for their braised pork rice. It’s a small place with less than 40 seats. Their crispy fried tofu was not bad which you can order to go with your rice. The braised pork rice was a mixture of fatty and lean meat cut into small cubes. If your stomach has some space, you can consider ordering the fried carrot cake which is fried till golden brown and crispy on the outside.

Recommended by my buddy. It's so yummy that I had these for 2 days straight plus its cheap! It's a must to eat the braised meat rice! The place is rather small, so not recommended to bring luggage or big bags as u wont have place to put ur stuff.

Intro from a Singapore Friend that stay in Taipei. The carrot cake suit our Singapore taste. You can add an egg with abit of charges which go well with the carrot cake. As for the fried oyster , the oyster is big. Taste is acceptable.

Food is normal. Was expecting melting braised pork but it was quick chewy. Love the scrambled egg. Serving was fast.

I went twice for oyster omelet, it's so good! It's located in Ximen area, one of the best areas in Taipei. Really good price and they cook everything at the moment.

Which is the best Lu rou fan (Taiwanese braised pork rice) in Taipei? The most famous one is Jinfeng. It was very well reviewed by Mark Wiens. The rice was better at Jinfeng - a bit more oily & fragrant which I liked. Tiantian Li however is KC's fave. He gave it a slight edge for the tastier pork and the sunny side up on the rice is a must. Go crazy order 2 to go with your Lu Rou Fan. Busy & simple place with not much ambience but really hits the spot when you're in the mood for Lu Rou Fan in the Ximending area.
