Having visited Paros and Marpissa on quite a few occasions we had never managed to visit this taverna. Having heard previous good reports about it we had always wanted to. We made time this trip and were immediately struck by the charming location with the tables under large fig trees. There were only 2 tables occupied which I wasn't concerned... More

I've been to Haroula's many times before. Yes, it's quaint, Yes, there are lovely views and it's very picturesque. I would say that usually you get quantity over quality. As much as it pains me to write this - the food today was dismal. And the service, well hardly service at all. We eat out (on Paros) at least 4... More

This amazing place, a real village taverna is located behind the central church of the village. Under the trees you find this treasure spot and you simply can't wait to try the goodies they make. It's the idea of eating the village woman's or mama's or giagias (grandma) food which is DELICIOUS, HOMEMADE, AND FILLED WITH LOVE IN EVERY BITE.... More

I was wondering around the streets of Marpissa, when unexpectedly this beautiful place showed up!It was like an oasis in a desert. I had a refreshing drink and a meal.Tasty and for a very good price! And just next to this tavern there is a folk art museum.

After exploring the beautiful streets of Marpissa we had lunch here. We ordered the Greek Salad, which was mediocre. Not bad but we had tried a better one on this location. €17 for a mediocre lunch. If you can't find anything else it is okay.

Being an athenian with a vacation house at Naoussa since 1990, I have visited this restaurant many times and I am strongly recommending it if - you want to eat no-nonsense, real greek food as our mothers cooked it a few decades ago - you want to enjoy one of the few still unspoiled villages of paros - don't care... Taverna with tables under a Huge Fig tree. Simple and tasty family food. Their products are organic. We ordered Tzatziki, Moussaka, and stew goat with lemon. They were all delicious and really substantial.

We ordered four dishes with meat. All portions were full of fat! Half of them were eaten by cats.. In the end we were still hungry but not the cats for sure! For this quality of food it was really expensive.

We had been to this taverna a few years ago, and though the food wasn't wonderful, it was perfectly okay -- good enough to make it possible to enjoy the lovely setting to the full. Now it is downright awful, the worst we have ever been served in Greece. Even the taramasalata was dreadful. We suspect the matriarch who used... More

Haroula is a tavern that serves traditional food of the island of Paros. It is located in a beautiful picturesque square in the small community of MArpissa, on the island of Paros, Greece. Highly recommmended for the freshness and quality of ingredients, and the generous portions that fill you to the rim.
