food/drink was ok. service staff seemed capable but not overly friendly. barman was, however, above-and-beyond. wanted to take him home with us! go for the homemade chocolate cake! facilities were quite nice. we were remarking that there are two types of restaurant decors - minimalists (like Hadskis in Belfast where we ate 2 nights earlier), where there is nothing on... On a recent short break travelling from Dublin to Sligo we found Weir's by checking Tripadvisor for places to eat roughly halfway on our journey. Multyfarnham is a few miles off the motorway but is very well sign posted coming from either direction. We had lunch mid week and it was very quiet, fire blazing and an excellent choice of music... Had a lovely meal here yesterday evening with our friends from Dublin. We have dined here many times over the past year and Weirs never fails to impress! It's our favourite place to eat since we moved to the area to live. Una and Pat and their great staff have always looked after us so well. We wish them continued... More

We chose Weirs for a family meet up equidistant location from West East South. The place is very quaint and friendly. The service was good and efficient. Food was lovely. Scrummy garlic mushrooms; salads and roast dinners very wholesome. Prices very reasonable. We sat around after eating to enjoy the venue. Bar is very welcoming. Great venue. Would recommend if... Often meat to eat here before, so rang a couple of days beforehand to book a table for 2, no problem. When we arrived we were brought to our table, in what can be described as an old world/rustic style experience. Passing the bar on the way in there was a roasting open fire which gave a great feeling straight... More

The moment you enter Weirs, you know it feels right. The decor alone is a feast for the eyes, real stuff, authentic stuff, adorn the shelves and walls. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is efficient and friendly. The menu has all the basics, chicken, lamb, beef, fish, duck, but with flair and something special added. The food tastes...
