Wonderful meal. Unusual, different to normal run of the mill Abruzzo fare. Good country cooking by the owner and cook Concetta. She cooks whats fresh that day but also has a longer menu for the week so plenty of choice. Great wines. Fantastic location in a cave!

The freshest, local ingredients cooked with simplicity and love make food in Abruzzo some of the finest in Italy. If you are in Pretoro, call to ask Concetta for a reservation and she will open her restaurant to cook for you. The location, built into a cave at the top of Pretoro, provides a backdrop to the absolutely delicious meal... More

My wife, two friends and myself had the pleasure of dining at La Torre last Friday evening. The restaurant is not normally open on a Friday but if you book in advance will open especially. As a result we received very personal service from the owner and chef, Concettina. The setting is spectacular; right at the top of the beautiful... More

Description
The restaurant "La Torre Pretoro" was restored in 1998. The Family Perseo Camillo and D'Innocenzo Concettina and the three sons Riccardo, Augusto and Antony, gave new life at a corner of this village. The restoration work was done by using materials of ancient origin. Our restaurant can accommodate up to 60 people, most places on the ground floor and part first floor of the room. You can enter the local through a staircase carved in the rock on the first floor. The room "Miravalle" (20 seats), the main hall on the ground floor; the room "a Cielo di Carrozza" (20 seats) and the characteristic room "la Grotta” (20 seats), where the rock was excavated by hand. In summer you can sit on the terrace to enjoy and admire the view, drawn from the roofs and the blue color of Pretoro far from the Adriatic Sea.
