Don't expect to find lots of exciting views in Verdi's birth place Roncole... but at least there is a place where you can eat in style: Alle Roncole! A beautifully and stylish restaurant with very nice food on the menu - not only top quality but also original and different to the all the other Italian restaurants in the area!... More

We stayed one night in this hotel and would have loved to stay more. The decor is very much about Giuseppe Verdi, the bed was amazing and comfortable. We are planning to return :-) We also tried the restaurant with traditional food from the Emilia region - very good.

Booked Alle Roncole as an overnight stop en route to Rome and so glad we did. We arrived just after 7.00pm and were warmly welcomed by the owner. We were shown to our rooms which already had the air con for us. Beautiful, traditional, clean and comfy rooms were a lovely welcome after 11 hours of driving. Guests are able... More

I'm Italian, but I'm writing this in English, so you won't be fooled around.. Terrible place, very cheap, not in the prices (oh, no, you wish..) but in the food. The torta fritta had been fried with already used oil (we could taste calamari or some sort of fish..), culatello was good, a couple more slices wouldn't have been bad..... More

There are two parts: restaurant and pizzeria. We had a great pizza beaked by tradicional way in wood stove i pizzerie. Ambience in pizzerie is not so affectionate as in restaurant, but it was good.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our landlady and she couldn't go wrong. Back to this restaurant in a Saturday evening after few years. At the entrance you have to choose if you'd like to seat in the Pizzeria or in the Restaurant. 100 m from Verdi's birthplace you'll find this beatiful little hotel and restaurant. Nice rooms with bathroom, tipical style of Emilia Romagna, air condition (very important in the Po valley), absolutely quiet. We were there yesterday night. The place was suggested by an artisan making home made pasta in Busseto. A very good suggestion and a pleasant experience. We got a mixed house salumi with grocco fritto (locally typical kind of focaccia) and cheese fondue with troufle as entries. Description
The restaurant has a long history, which began in the 50s with Franco and Filomena Pedretti with Osteria Roncole; revived in 1993 by the grandson Carduccio Pedretti (now owner with his wife Monica) with the renovation and reopening of the restaurant, proposing a cuisine based on local dishes and their exploitation. The philosophy has not changed since then, indeed, the link with the territory is even more strengthened; eg salami (salted pork, bow, shoulder, neck, salami, bacon), are all produced by dad Nereo in winter months, processed without preservatives and seasoned in the underground cellar with brick floor. We are part of the Consortium of culatello Zibello dop ; produce and stagioniamo directly culatelli we serve on the table. First Courses of fresh pasta are strictly made ​​in our kitchen. The basic elements such as eggs, flour, and, of course, Parmigiano-Reggiano, are carefully selected. On the menu are proposed tortelli with greens parmigiana, anolini in capon broth and beef, potato ravioli with black truffles, pumpkin ravioli, medallions walnut gorgonzola, handmade tagliatelle (Strepponi), pisarei and beans, goodies grandmother's lasagna meat sauce. Main Courses prefer pork and poultry (duck fowl): Piacenza coppa baked pasta in white wine salami, roast duck, stuffed faeaona; then braised veal cheek to Gutturnio, tripe alla parmigiana; the main dish is the rabbit roast in a pan with herbs. Dishes Gluten Free; for customers with allergies prepare gluten-free: our meats are prepared and seasoned naturally without preservatives and flour and are accompanied by fried cake gluten free flour; well first, tortelli with greens parmigiana, pumpkin ravioli, tortellini nettle pisarei and beans, cappelletti in broth, garganelli salted pork are prepared with gluten-free flours. And 'Reservations required. For pizza lovers, our pizza maker Alberto (Neapolitan) prepares excellent pizza cooked in a wood oven. Every day at lunch and dinner you can choose the pizza you like (menu with about 40 pizzas, calzones and buns), eat it in the restaurant or take away. For several years we have added to the restaurant rooms where you can also sleep: L ' Hotel has 11 rooms with different types: double, twin three beds and 4 beds, our customers are tourists visiting the places of Giuseppe Verdi and Guareschi in Busseto and Brescello, but also foreign tourists who stay for any day and run on Parma, Cremona and Mantua.
