Love their egg roll, it’s a must order. The size of Soba is good quantity for a man, so don’t order too much at the first visit.

Just a twenty minute walk from bustling Shibuya is this small, local soba spot. They serve soba hot in soup, cold with soy dipping sauce, crunchy soba snacks before dinner and soba tea after the meal. Also had the raw sea bream appetizer and the...tamago. The staff was great even in their limited English. They did have English menu. What a great, off the beaten path, local spot for soba and other local fare.More
Great soba and wonderful ambience. The soba with duck was excellent. For an additional $15, the tempura was well worth the price and had shrimp, fish, soft shelled crab and vegetables. Most seats are at communal tables which helps seeing what others are ordering. The...English menu seems small but seeing what others order expands the experience. If you love soba, this place should not be missed. You should use GPS to find and exit from the first straight leg heading north on the Skywalk and you will be a short distance away.More
Cold soba noodle and hot duck soup - Yummy! The soba is fresh and chewy. The soup and duck breast meat is tasty. The tempura is good too.
Short walk from the Westin hotel lies this hidden gem. Itasoba has a very small menu centered on soba and boy was it good. We ordered the thick cut soba and this was served to us in a large wooden tray. I had mine with...tempura and my colleague had duck. The tempura was light, fresh, and served piping hot. A meal was accompanied with a couple of yebisu beers and the total bill for two was about $30. This was a very authentic experience. Other then us there were no westerners in the restaurant.More
I searched "best soba in Tokyo" and it led me and my husband to Ebisu (1 or 2 stop from Shibuya) where we waiting in line for 10-15 minutes which did not phase us because it was so good! We ordered tempura and soba and...ended up getting duck and soba, regardless we ate it and didn't mind. The sesame sauce that comes with the soba for dipping was so good. We wanted to go back before leaving but ran out of time! The atmosphere of the restaurant is really nice too, and the tables are huge!More
Such a quaint, charming and authentic Japanese restaurant. The signboard has no English at all, we only relied on Google Maps to get to where we were. Boy were we in for a treat... ordered the basic soba that comes with tempura and it was...hands down the best soba and tempura we’ve ever had. You will see many locals dining there. Coupled with the very authentic Japanese ambience, it was a meal we would always remember. Be early though, we had to wait for almost an hour for a table as it is a very tiny space.More
Tried to come here for dinner at 6.30 on a Sunday night but the queue was too long to wait with a hungry baby, so tried again for lunch at 11.45 on Wednesday and there was no queue. Ordered the trial thin buckwheat soba noodle...dish with sauces/cold soups and a side of tempura, all delicious. No baby high chairs available but they provided us with kids cutlery. Glad we made the effort to come back, highly recommend.More
We had a great meal here April 2017. We arrived ~10 minutes prior to opening and were seated in the first group. Only 2 other people were waiting with us, but the restaurant quickly filled up shortly after opening. We ordered the omelette, thin soba...with tempura, and thick soba with duck. An English menu with pictures was provided. I recommended the restaurant to my friends who live in Tokyo!More
Highly recommend it. They have an English menu. Select the thickest noodle as that seems to be the standard. I got the soba plate with tempura assortment - more than enough for one person. Will go back.
great place! the food was delicious - best soba and great tempura. The service really good and friendly. Highly recommend.
FIrst off, this is a popular place so expect a queue to get in. I went for an early dinner, 6 pm, but there were already 3 couples in front of me. Efficient service, english spoken, takes credit card (important for japan). Communal table but...wasn't intrusive. Cute decor: they use peanuts as a chopstick rest. A free buckwheat snack was served after you ordered. It tasted like cracker jack. They have several menu with duck, but I ordered the so-called introductory soba set. Basically cold soba with 2 dipping sauces: the usual soy sauce and sesame sauce. The sesame was actually not bad at all. At first I wasn't fond of it, but the after taste was very good. A good kind of savoury that was quite more-ish. I ended up alternating between the two sauces. The soba itself was chewy with a bite to it, and fragrant. I had better soba at Arima, but this was also very good. Price was okay, reasonable.More
I love their soba. I usually get the "thick" noodles and tororo (grated yam: comes with a raw quail egg). The portion size is large and they often have free flavored rice (takikomi gohan) too. It can get quite busy during the lunch time.
Went there with friend. Waited about 15 mins. We ordered some appetizers, Everything was good. Then we had the cold soba with two types of sauce. Both were really good. Many soba place gives small portion but this place gave in a big wooden tray....Totally had a satisfied mealMore
A very friendly room - good lighting, 2 large timber communal tables and a couple of other smaller tables. We waited outside on the bench along with some other groups of 2 and 3 and the line moved quickly. Nice crowd of what appeared to...be mostly locals inside. The efficient and polite waitstaff had plenty to do and were all over it. An excellent side serve of pickles and the mixed tempura was clean and light. There is good selection (around 6 or 7) of soba; the duck broth with cold thin buckwheat noodles (served separately on a board) had a good depth of flavour and a nice hint of smoke in the background. And all washed down with a draught Sapporo, good times!More
