If you prefer quantity rather than quality this is the place for you. Generous portions of mediocre quality food. Baby prawns ( shrimps by any other name ) in the prawn cocktail which was served with large amounts of cut French bread and butter. The fish and chips from frozen were over cooked and the microwaved pie had a poorly... More

We ordered fish and chips and it was very average. The fish was over cooked and dry. No tartar sauce. It is a shame because the pub is rather unique.

We visit this pub for the occasional lunch time meal. On entering the Lounge Bar the door needs to be kicked to open it as it drags on the floor. This is a long term problem which would very easily be resolved by a man and a wood plane or similar. The noise from the opening door is loud and... More

We rented a cottage in Lulworth and we were lucky enough to have the Castle as our local. The food was so good and the servings were huge. The atmosphere was lovely and always a log fire to make it cosy. We were made to feel very welcome and I would highly recommend a visit. We are from the area... More

Four of us visited on New Years Day with our dog after walking to Durdle Door via Lulworth Cove and back. We arrived at about 1:30pm and got a table easily, but we did notice that it filled up pretty quickly (possibly because it has started raining outside). They were very friendly and our dog was most welcome which was... More

This inn was fabulous! The food was right out of the sea, my lobster was the best ever and the bottle of wine that we drank was also type quality! My husband enjoyed the breakfast! Blood sausage of coarse!

We came here for lunch, great range of local ciders and good choice of lighter lunch options along with main meals.

Having completed a 7mile walk on Boxing Day we were in need of good wholesome food. Despite having not booked the Inn made room for us and delivered seven delicious meals in double quick time. The food was well-prepared, hot and flavoursome, the portions were generous. In addition we took the option to try some of the 40 varieties of... More

I spent a fair few hours at this pub with some friends in March 2016. we knew it was a CAMRA 'cider pub of the year', and has stumbled upon it the year previous, but decided to make the trip down to East Lulworth especially to visit and spend some time without having to drive anywhere after. I tried about... More
