Lovely food. Everything was cooked and presented beautifully. Ate here for two nights and couldn't fault the food at all. Waiters were very attentive without being intrusive. Excellent service, would recommend.

Although expensive, the restaurant was excellent. Each time we visited, be it breakfast or evening meal, we were personally taken to a table, seated and given menu. Service was with a welcome and a smile. The food was absolutely beautiful. Surroundings were also lovely.

We only had a one night stay but thoroughly enjoyed it, this hotel is a classic Scottish Country House Hotel , great setting on the banks of the River Tay, we were in room 2 which had a brilliant view of the river (I'm a fisherman) where I watched the house boat harling for spring salmon, our room was fine... We booked for an overnight stay via Booking.com as a birthday treat. We were called upon booking by the hotel to say that they were overbooked for dinner that evening (saturday) however we would be placed first on the waiting list for a table. The hotel itself is really somewhere you hope to go to get away from the busyness... More

Attended for a family private dining occasion and was well looked after. Old school fine dining. Liver Pate starters were excellent. Main of Mushroom Risotto - not enough depth of mushroom flavour but very tasty roasted baby tomatoes. Followed up with a perfunctory cheeseboard, the quince jelly complimenting some local cheeses. A beautiful location on the river taking you back... More
