We took a drive to this popular family owned restaurant nestled in the "pedi Montana" (foothills) north of Pordenone; Located by a former mill site. We've come here over the years and it never disappoints our expectations. All dishes are prepared with care and beautifully presented. I opened with their rendition of "Vetello Tunatto". Thinly Sliced roast veal with tuna... More

Having our place very near we had not yet been here. Locals call it good but expensive. Certainly this region you can eat well for ess, but this place is of a different class, as for the fabulous location, the great and committed service and the wonderfull food. The service is good and nice, with good advice and willingness to... More

To begin, this place is positively gorgeous inside and out. The service was impeccable. The food is first class. I highly recommend beginning your meal with the assagi "ai Mulinars". One of the best plates I've ever had. This is much more than a meal. It's an experience.

We recently visited Ai Mulinars for Sunday dinner based on a friend's recommendation. The restaurant can't be missed as it is located at the beginning of the road that leads up to Le Grotte di Pradis (caves) in Clauzetto. We found ample parking on this Sunday and upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and seated. I found the service to... More

In a place in the middle of nowhere, as it is so typical in Italy, you find this excellent place. Friuli's specialties, and some from other places, with a modern twist. We sat outside, we ordered and enjoyed the location. Food was excellent. Just one 'slight' warning, order with clarity, and make sure the waiter has a pad, or you... More

We had hoped to find a good lunch place on our last day of a two-week trip to Italy, but we never expected to stumble on this charming restaurant in the snow-covered hills of the pre-Alps, during a scenic drive in the gorgeous mountains and lakes just above Aviano and Pordenone. We arrived at noon to a warm fire burning... More

Ai Mulinars can easily be the perfect place for a romantic dinner. The place, which is a renovated old mill, is very charming, especially at night. The owners know how to deal with people: ordering and chatting a bit is a very pleasant experience. The food served has its roots in the Friulian tradition, but it also features a modern... More
