I ordered the Chilli that came with rice and spicy cheese coated wedges, and my wife had lasagne. Both meals were great and nicely presented and was... More

Typical village pub but better. Friendly and warm staff, attentive but not imposing. Absolutely fabulous food, always cooked perfectly and most importantly always served hot. Very popular with people in the know and always busy, a little gem in the heart of the Peak District. The added bonus is they welcome dogs with open arms, which is more than can... More

Wow, what can we say. The food was of an excellent standard, service brilliant, lovely people including those in the pub all very friendly, service fab and dog friendly. On a cold autumn evening the log fire was burning and the ambiance was just right. Great choice of food for a reasonable price. Thank you

A welcoming warm pub which is obviously popular with locals and walkers alike. Food is fresh and well cooked and offered in amazingly generous portions. The home cooked ham was delicious. Good atmosphere and pleasant decor.

A nice village pub with clean, modern restaurant area to the side. Steak is good with lots of sides! Playground out the back good for children. Will return.
