Haven't been before normally go to another pub but after bad meal service fancied a change. From the moment I opened the back door was greeted with smiles from all staff. Unhelpful staff who clearly wanted to get us go and out......fussy menu with small portions not very well cooked. It used to be very good here but not any longer......

I had been invited to have Christmas dinner with the family of my partner at the royal oak well what a disappointment having travelled for over an hour we were shown to a tepee in the grounds it was freezing there was a fire pit but the fire had gone out long ago and the staff could not get it... Good pizzas in the proper oven. Service prompt and friendly. Now they have their till sorted, all bills paid without errors! Recommended for small dos, we always come for birthdays.

We weee staying at the hotel and arrived late. We decided to try the restaurant and weren't disappointed! We had the two-course Christmas special menu, with Calamari and Thai Fish cakes starters, with some Garlic/Mozzarella Pizza bread. Been three times had good meals,my only draw back 1 time was the table was too small it was suppose to be for four there was three of us , with all the clutter we had to move things about or ask for them to be removed
