Shouldn’t have set your own table, or be handed your drinks on a tray to carry them to your table in my opinion, fish and chips - fish was over cooked and full of bones, chips crispy and over cooked. Sausage and mash - one...More

Stayed in Pooley Bridge for what must have been the hottest weekend of the year. Beer garden great and had both lunch and dinner - exceptionally busy but food and service great!

Another excellent friendly pub and food in Pooley Bridge, after long days out walking we were always welcomed with cheerful faces and fast service.

Pubs had a lot of money spent on it and it's nice. A few real ales on. Bar staff just served customers. No rapport with customers. Stopped serving food at 19:30? Wouldn't rush to go back there.

Hi there, I think you may have the wrong establishment. As only the "the crown inn" and "1863" have had major money spent on them recently. Regards

We read all the good reviews.....and sadly were let down by sullen bar man ....think smart......and add any suitable word........ The fact people come into spend their money and come across such a horrible man who made comments about others in the bar.....not nice...not on......More

Meals here are quite big portions and couldn't eat it all, there are some bad reviews on here but we didn't have any problems, the staff were friendly enough but one thing the pub could be improved and be a bit tidier.

I am sorry, can't help you. Like the reviewer above we ordered off the menu. We didn't know about any management changes either. All I can say is that we had a very nice lunch and maybe call them or look at the menu online... More
