My boyfriend ordered the ropa vieja and can't stop raving about how delicious it was...even the day after! I had the filet mignon with grilled pineapple which was delicious as well! They offer a free mojito for the first visit which we didn't take advantage or can use for free coffee in the morning. The service was great and so... More

The black bean soup and Cuban sandwich for lunch were excellent. We went back for a dinner of skirt steak and the seafood plate and we're not disappointed.

The food was great. The entertainment singer was pleasant but a little stilted. A disappointment was Cuban dancing was advertised but there was none.

After having a pretty bad meal the night before at a different restaurant, I didn't get my hopes up for this one but let me tell you, my meal was spectacular! I had a shrimp dish and my husband had chicken and olives. We both loved our meals! The service was so-so. It was a bit slow, but not terrible.... More

Unfortunately it rained in Aruba while we were there so we looked for lunch and found this great place. Because of the rain we spent longer than planned and sampled some great mojitos too! Great friendly bar/ restaurant!

here for dinner with a friend who lives in Aruba. Our friend had made reservations. We were seated after a 15 minute wait-given menus, water and then we waited for at least 30 minutes for a server. Finally our friend had to "get up" and go find a waiter. We ordered drinks, but again 15-20 minute wait. We were considering... More

I went to the bar for an app and a drink. I was told the bartender made the best mojito on the island so I ordered that and a guacamole with plantain chips. There was no one else at the bar and few tables were filled. It was almost as if I was bothering the bartender by ordering something. I... More

usually comes with a free mojito - ask the server for a coupon if you don't have one. The ceviche is excellent, and would you believe cuban matzoh ball soup?

The food was OK: nothing spectacular. The empanadas, lobster tail and chicken mofongo were quite nice: the grilled grouper came overcooked. The yuca con mojo was quite plain. We had a very friendly waiter: Alejandro!

We should have known when we arrived on Friday night and the restaurant was dead. Service was fine, wine list was terrible, and the food average. Will not be going back.

Newly located in the Renaissance Marketplace downtown, Cuba's Cookin' has moved with the times just as when Fidel began his march on Havana in 1959. This is what Havana would have looked & felt like.... and when the live music starts up nightly....this is exactly what you would have heard & seen back then. A moment in history brought out in Cuba's food, mojitos, art, culture and dance. A real authentic dinning experience you will take home forever from your trip to Aruba.
