Reserve ahead if you want to see a sunset, but even if you don't, it is still a unique setting. The smoked salmon salad appetizer was excellent as was my seafood trio main dish, and the decadent shared sampler dessert plate. My wife's grouper was not as flavourful as she had been lead to believe by the server, and the... More

Best, most unique dining experience we had. The grouper was phenomenal and presented just as well. Recommended by crossfit owner we weren't sure what to expect but this place was amazing. You definitely need reservations though. Only slightly interesting part was the proximity to the airport. The food is well worth the occasional noise.

This spot offers a Very romantic setting and outstanding food. Service was great, too. Highly recommend. Take a light sweater if after sundown.

We went to Barefoot last night for our last dinner out in Aruba. I had the blackened Mahi-Mahi with pineapple salsa/relish. My wife had the crab cakes. Both dishes were excellent. The service and atmosphere was awesome! We especially enjoyed the Banana Misu. It was a different and great rendition of Tiramisu. It was a great place to sit with... More

the serving staff was considerate, helpful, friendly, unpretentious. The setting is lovely-a wonderful view of the water, the restaurant deck where we ate had great views of the beach tables and the deck is nicely lit and feels very warm and relaxed. The food choices are great-we had delectable scallops appetizer, and crab cakes. For dinner we had the beef... More

Barefoot is one of our favorites. You can dine under the thatched roof or out on the beach with your toes in the sand. Eclectic menu of seafood, steak and chicken dishes. The grouper is especially good and they serve a coffee-flavored creme brûlée that is fantastic. Be sure to arrive in time to watch the sunset over the water!

We really enjoy this location, eating dinner with our feet in the sand and watching the sunset. The food is very good. The service this time was very slow.

We visited while in port on Adventure of the Seas, Royal Caribbean. Our dinner at Barefoot was our second best meal of the trip (only beat out by lobster night on the ship as lobster is my favorite food)....to be fair, I did not order lobster at Barefoot. Our ahi appetizer (tuna two ways) was wonderful. I think we should... More

Aruba is all about the fabulous beaches during the day, and the many great restaurants at night. It is only logical that these two unique things of Aruba are combined into one! Luc & Gerco found the perfect spot to synergize great food, and a beautiful setting to create an experience almost unique on our island. When listening to the ocean caressing the shore, while wiggling your toes through the pearly white sand, why not let yourself be pampered by a gourmet dinner? Chef Gerco & Maitre d' Luc had a shared dream of opening up a restaurant here, but wanted something in line with what they enjoy on Aruba: the nearly perfect climate, the possibility to always be outside, the tropical feel... When opening their restaurant, they had these ideas in their heads, and it worked like a charm! Tables under a large palapa on a wooden deck with a view of the ocean, or outside under the Aruban nights sky, on the pristine beach... An original menu was created by Gerco and Justin, with some of the old school favorites (sirloin with bearnaise, or tuna steak with teriyaki) as well as some original dishes not found anywhere, with unique combinations (smoked salmon & shrimp, grouper & mango or leg & rack of lamb) and wonderful vegetarian dishes. With the help of the local wine suppliers, Luc made an extensive wine list, with wines from all over the world, and is always ready to pair a wine with your dinner. The experienced service team is friendly yet professional, ready to wow you from the moment you walk in, to make a fabulous evening into a great memory on Aruba!
