We had the pleasure of dining at Barefoot on our first day in Aruba. Since it's been raining so much, we were praying for a beautiful night. That's exactly what we got and more. The sunset was amazing and the food was excellent. The staff at Barefoot were all very pleasant. We never felt rushed and took our time to... More

Was lucky enough to watch a sunset at barefoot Restaurant. Lots of people taking pictures and the staff was more than happy to oblige. After all, you go to a restaurant where you can actually eat while your toes are in the sand, you would expect to take a few pictures. The service and food matches the scenery. Extremely well... Wonderful vegetarian choice--Portabella & Risotto. It was excellent! Everyone enjoyed dinner here but ... Some caveats: 1. Lobster capuccino was like warm beef broth--no seafood flavor at all. Sent it back which I almost never do but was charged for it anyway. When pointed out to the waitress, she apologized and removed it from the bill. 2. Waitress told us... More

Was a great way to end our trip to Aruba. Dinner reservations made so that we could experience sunset. Beautiful night, gentle breeze. Table set up in sand, so you can take shoes off and put your feet in sand. Our waiter was very attentive and even called a cab for us at end of the evening. Food was very... More

Really enjoyed this Dutch restaurant. Staff was incredibly helpful, cocktails were good, and enjoyed watching the planes land while we ate.

On our yearly trip to Aruba we don't often venture to town, we dine mostly at the high rise hotels until now. Barefoot cane as a recommendation to us from a fellow timeshare owner from the north. when you drive to the location surrounded by a working commercial waterfront you second guess your choice, however once your met buy one... We were drawn to Barefoot because we wanted to eat a great meal on the beach with our shoes off, and they delivered! Our waiter Mario was very animated and friendly. To eat we had the escargot, crab cakes, romance seafood, snapper, apple strudel and brownie. The meal was tasty and we would definitely go back again.

Barefoot is a restaurant on a beach facing Oranjestad. Many like to eat under the stars; but those who don't like the rain can sit on a deck under a large palapa. Some deck tables are also in sand so beware the occasional sand flea. The service is excellent, the wait staff is knowledgeable and attentive. The menu is large... More

This place is beautiful! Don't go home without at least one romantic dinner with your feet in the sand! ( ok, you can also sit at a table on the deck for those not wanting to shed their shoes.) The sunsets are splendid as well as the food being consistently good. The seafood is extremely fresh and the red meat... More

Description
Aruba is all about the fabulous beaches during the day, and the many great restaurants at night. It is only logical that these two unique things of Aruba are combined into one! Luc & Gerco found the perfect spot to synergize great food, and a beautiful setting to create an experience almost unique on our island. When listening to the ocean caressing the shore, while wiggling your toes through the pearly white sand, why not let yourself be pampered by a gourmet dinner? Chef Gerco & Maitre d' Luc had a shared dream of opening up a restaurant here, but wanted something in line with what they enjoy on Aruba: the nearly perfect climate, the possibility to always be outside, the tropical feel... When opening their restaurant, they had these ideas in their heads, and it worked like a charm! Tables under a large palapa on a wooden deck with a view of the ocean, or outside under the Aruban nights sky, on the pristine beach... An original menu was created by Gerco and Justin, with some of the old school favorites (sirloin with bearnaise, or tuna steak with teriyaki) as well as some original dishes not found anywhere, with unique combinations (smoked salmon & shrimp, grouper & mango or leg & rack of lamb) and wonderful vegetarian dishes. With the help of the local wine suppliers, Luc made an extensive wine list, with wines from all over the world, and is always ready to pair a wine with your dinner. The experienced service team is friendly yet professional, ready to wow you from the moment you walk in, to make a fabulous evening into a great memory on Aruba!
