This place is a tourist trap of the highest order. The quality is mediocre at best and the place is full of tourist smoking cigars. As it is closed and air conditioned you choke on your drink fighting through a crowded room full of tourist

If you love Hemingway, go for the experience of being where he was. The drinks are a bit expensive, but had to have one to say we did. There was an excellent band playing, the place was crowded and noisy and jubilant. The best part was watching the wait staff do their thing, very professionally, and the female bartender singing... We went there because of Hemingway and his daiquiris. They are good, but the service is lousy ; it was hard to get a table and the waiters just could not cope (and did not try very hard). We some simple snacks, sandwiches and croquettes, which were OK. There was a live show and their singer was simply sensational.

Excellent daiquiris in Havana and ice cold which really hits the spot after a long day of walking in the heat. It's a very touristy location so it gets crowded but it one of those spots that you need to check out and have a drink if you're in Havana. Prices are pretty high in comparison to other places since... More

It had to be done. Pop in for a daiquiri just try and get there before a coach party turn up! Live music playing and would have been more enjoyable if it was less crowded.

Yes - it is touristy without doubt. But also fun. Excellent daiquiris and photo op with Papa's statue. Banana chips to munch on and always live music.

Considering how buzzy and fun the bar is, the restaurant itself was disappointing. It was very pricey and the service was poor. Not one of the waiters or waitresses smiled once and food and drink were just plonked on the table. I certainly wouldn't go there again. It was full of Americans and Japanese spending lots of money. Admittedly the... More

What a characterful pub/restaurant in the whole of Havana with all its most amazing buildings of character. We just loved the pub and really could see Hemingway having his drink in the former. The interior amazingly beautiful - so rich colors. We did not eat, but enjoyed every minute sipping our beers! Highly recommended!

I'm only referring to the Floridita bar, not its restaurant. And yes, I know it's associated with Hemingway and that it describes itself as "the cradle of the daiquiri". And it's interesting to see the bartenders shaking cocktails. But after that?? It's not very special, perhaps otherwise even just like a lot of other bars. There's a statue of Hemingway... More

Worth a visit for the history of the place but our 3 cocktails cost us £20. The daiquiris are good. Get your photo then find a cheaper bar.
