Zest at Jan Thiel consist of two parts, a proper restaurant where you can enter with pumps and picnic tales on the beach. I went to the beach. The food menu is mostly grilled meat and other easy to prepare stuff. You eat at Picnic tables and may need to share a table with others when busy. Service is good... More

Zest has a restaurant and a beach terrace where they serve food. Under the umbrellas and with a sunset, the Carribean picture is perfect. Nice warm soft sand and a nice but simple menu, cold beers or juicy cocktails make it perfect to be at Zest in the evening. Also during the daytime Zest is the perfect combination between a... More

Located on Jan Thiel Beach, Zest Beach Cafe is the perfect setting for dinner at the end of the day. The menu has a mix of caribbean, dutch and mediterranean cuisine. Food is delicious and the staff is friendly and patient with diners like us unfamiliar with some of the dutch choices. The views at sunset are wonderful. We raced... More

We are here the first night after arriving at the papagayo. The beach vibe with the lights and wooden benches is just great...I like those kinda restaurants. The food was great but the service was slow unfortunately which I don't really mind during a vacation. The vibe and the beachy part made this restaurant almost my favorite one. Highly recommended

Spent the last evening of our 3 week rental in Boca Gentil at this restaurant. For a non-Dutch speaking person, the menu was a wonderful departure from the ordinary. A bit pricey but well worth it for a farewell dinner.

Here we enjoyed all the moments of the day! Great breakfast(lot to choose). One time we had lunch in the restaurant and the other time on the beach in Zest café. In the café I ordered 'chorizo' and thats all you get!Better the staff inform before that you only get 1 sausage. After she served it I ordered french fries... More

The dessert of snowball chocolate mousse was outstanding!! My husband had the red snapper and loved it. I had the chicken and probably wouldn't order again.

Unfortunately an awful service for an excellent food. We have just paid more than 400$ dollars to spend 3 hours for not achieving but the appetizers and not the main course for me. I was not able to get my main course, We complain to the manager, he kindly offered us another bottle of wine but after waiting 3 hours... More

Good drinks when you finally get them. The girls in the bar just dont bother to even smile or say hello. Not very wellcoming.A smile dosnt hurt..prefer to talk to eachother rather then costumers. So we take our drinks next door for the rest of our stay. Why is that?Get a job you enjoy instead and let happy people serve and make drinks.This... We (me and my wife) were sitting there for one and a half hour mostly waiting, since it only took us 20 minutes to eat a very poor fish hamburger and a poorer tabbouleh; the rest of the time we waisted waiting for food, mayo and mustard (again, terrible fish burger) and the check. Not recommended at all.
