This restaurant was awful. The food was so bad I couldn't finish my pasta it tasted so weird. It did not taste Italian that is for sure and I am unsure of the meat they used for the Bolognese sauce.

This place has been an institution for Italian and Seafood in Santo Domingo for many years. Everything is homemade from the pasta to breads and desserts and even has its own butchery. An extensive variety of dishes prepared in a family tradition that maintains the consistency of quality which is very hard to find.

It was not the most cozy place in town but the seafood is great! I tried the octopus, the lobster and the shrimps and they were amazing. The wine list is limited. Well located (at the "malecon")! Very friendly staff. But ... expensive!

I've been coming to this restaurant for 5-6 years. I visit on business at times and other times with family or friends. Recently, things seem to have fallen off. The restaurant no longer offers Valet parking, or at least on the recent nights I've visited. The servers are no longer attentive. The food is now so-so. And the price is... More

This used to be one of the best restaurants in Santo Domingo; “used to be”. Today is May 27, 2016. I’ve been visiting Santo Domingo since the 80s, when the Malecon was a vibrant, bursting in excellent dine options, when this restaurant was easily in the top 5 list. Nowadays I’m just surprise of the (1) service, (2) prices, and... More

First class all the way, this place has been in business a long long time. Fresh pasta dishes, great seafood, excellent bar. Top notch service. A favorite of the locals. One of the best in Santo Domingo. You will not be disappointed.

Vesuvio at Malecon is an interntational food restaurant. Is one of the better known restarunrant in the city. It is in front of the see. Food and service are excellent. Is not cheap but prices are afordable. If you are in the city stop by this restaurant.
